"The resort was above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - especially the fresh pastries and the omelette bar manned by Heinz. The snorkeling right off shore was fabulous. If we ever are able to return to Moorea, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora again!"

"Smaller resort, which was actually nice b/c it is more relaxing. Gorgeous pool area. We stayed in an over-water bungalow, which was spacious and lovely. The only complaint I would say is it would have been nice to have a chair. Like just a regular chair to sit in. There wasn't one in the room or on the deck (only lounge chairs). Got a free bottle of sparkling wine delivered to our room, which was a nice surprise. Food was outrageously expensive, which I expected, but what I did not expect is...

"This place was lovely, in a less touristy part of Moorea. The pool was fantastic, views on the beach were great, and a lovely breakfast delivered to our kitchen everyday. We did have problems with the air conditioner, but the owner went out of his way to ensure it was repaired (on a Holiday weekend—thank you!). "Our stay was wonderful! The hotel staff is very friendly and everything was super clean. The whole hotel, beginning from the garden, over to the house and the pier had lovely details wherever you look. No matter if its plants or flowers, deco elemants or art. At the pier where sharks, rays and lots of colurful fishes. The two hotel cats where also very friendly! The breakfast had to be booked on top, which we didnt do. "Small newer bungalows with an eager staff to please. Very quiet property. Kitchens in rooms so you can shop and make your breakfast at least. A little pricey ( but So is everything in FP) on the breakfast that you can pay for. Very quiet area of the island. Maybe I've been spoiled around the world but the reef on Moorea is not the greatest for snorkeling"

"Tout ce qui est requis pour cuisiner est disponible. C’est propre et réellement comme sur les photos. L’accès à la plage permet de voir des poissons dans les coraux. On peut aussi aller voir des requins à pointe noire en louant un kayak directement à la plage de l’hébergement (10 min de pagaies). Je n’ai pas essayé d’aller voir mais il parait qu’il y a possibilité de voir des tortues à la plage publique (15 min à pied). "The The beach on property is nice. Great views from restaurant. Strong AC, free wifi are plusses. No phone in room, no TV, nobody at reception after a certain time at night. Door to patio was broken. Rooms are dated. "

"Location was amazing. So peaceful, quiet, and serene. Viewed sunset from deck chairs of our room. Small facility so beach walks not crowded with lots of tourists. Room a little small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - all so fresh. Secured parking on site. Only suggestion is to make guard gate electronic so aren’t required to get out of car to enter code. "

"I really wanted to give this place high reviews, but unfortunately the great pluses this property has (amazing location right on the water and views) are negated by an overzelous and controling owner. Prepared to be scolded, warned and admonished for many things a paying costumer would not in other stablishments. I.e. do not take the kayak out in the beautiful bay because it could be damaged by the coral..are u serious? Why have a kayak on the property if it cant be used. Or, dont leave the AC...
