A bit of confusion at check-in that the staff handled perfectly. The loft was outstanding, location perfect. This was our second stay at Vieux-Port and will definitely not be our last.
In the heart of old Montreal. Convenient to everything. Gaspar restaurant was excellent. Stayed in the Lofts. Only problem was too many steps, no elevator. After a full day of eating, shopping, nightlife, it definitely needs an elevator. Walking distance to literally everything.
Great location in the middle of old port. Very spacious and great facilities in the room. An apartment experience - not a hotel - but the staff resolved issues very promptly. A certain level of fitness needed to traverse 3 flights of stairs several times a day, but they helped with the luggage on check in and check out. Would recommend.
Overall Rating: 4 / 5
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property right in the heart of Old Montreal. The location truly cannot be beat if you are looking to explore the historic area.
What really stood out to us was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly pleasant to talk to, friendly, and highly communicative whenever we had any questions or minor issues. On top of that, housekeeping and front desk responsiveness was top-notch—anytime we requested extra towels or bottled water, they were delivered to our room quickly and without any hassle.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming, well-located stay with fantastic customer service!
We stayed in the lofts which are located 2 short blocks from the main hotel but it’s a lovely walk along the historic Rue St Paul pedestrian-only street. The lofts are on a very quiet street and well insulated. Full kitchen, spacious bathroom, living room and bedroom. 2 large closets. The hotel has a lovely rooftop restaurant/bar with great city views. If you’re there during fireworks, be sure to make a reservation in advance. The main restaurant, Gaspar, has 2 parts - an outdoor patio on the historic Rue St Paul and a quieter part by the main entrance. The overall location is fantastic for exploring old Montreal, access to attractions like Cirque du Soleil.

The loft was cute, but it was not cleaned daily. We had to request towels twice during our stay. Fifty dollars a day for parking is a bit expensive. The location was perfect!
We stayed at Lofts du Vieux-Port from Monday to Thursday and had an amazing experience. The loft was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had so much character — the perfect mix of historic Old Montreal charm and modern comfort.
The location was incredible, right in the heart of Old Montreal and close to restaurants, cafés, the waterfront, and everything we wanted to explore. It really felt like a home away from home, which is exactly what made our stay so special.
The staff were welcoming, professional, and helpful from start to finish. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend Lofts du Vieux-Port to anyone visiting Montreal!
Great location, walking distance to everything!
If you have trouble with stairs, not your best option.
Only negative thing is if you are a light sleeper you can hear people walking from above floor.
The Lofts are located in a separate building from the main hotel and the unit we stayed in was a walk-up. So be prepared for stairs! The loft was fantastic and offered great street views of Old Montreal. The Loft was spacious, clean, comfortable, and a great place to stay. We were only 59 steps (down) to the street and it was so great to have all that access to Old Montreal. Highly recommended! Hotel and Valet staff were highly helpful and responsive too. This is a great option for staying in Montreal!
Beautiful room, fully stocked, clean, exceptional service. Location was perfect!
Our only issue is that we were told we could use the rooftop bar/restaurant. We weren’t going to eat, just a cocktail and look at the view but were turned away and told we needed a reservation because they were full. The bar area was not full and I have never needed a reservation to stand at a bar and have a drink. They should have told us when we checked in that we needed reservations. We never did get up there… disappointing especially since we were guests at the hotel.
We LOVED staying here! The location was perfect and walkable to everything we wanted to do and see. The room was huge, it felt like a small apartment and was very warm and inviting. The tub and shower were amazing! Everything was great, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was the bed and pillows weren't very comfortable.
We loved this space. We were fortunate enough to book a very large loft which was gorgeous and filled with light. This leads us to our only complaint. Please try upgrading to the curtains for full blackout curtains that reach the floor. The space became quite bright in the morning WITHOUT all the curtains drawn. For light sensitive sleepers, this is a problem.
Again, we loved the space (we were in for 4-nights). The staff were lovely and the resto, Gaspar, was quite good and reasonably priced for a tourist area.
