"Stayed as a couple for three nights in September 2026. Beautiful property and great location. Friendly staff, great rooms, wonderful spa, and a great experience. Highly recommend!"

"Rooms are a decent size and very clean. The pool is also well maintained. Restaurant opposite was fine but you need to drive to anywhere else as there are no made up pavements. Parking in Bergerac Town is easy."

"A lovely authentic French chateau & vineyard! Beautiful historical building. Food in the restaurant was wonderful & their wi e excellent! The lady on reception was extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Many thanks"

"Excellent service on arrival. The staff member provided information to us on the local area and discounts we can receive for eating at their recommended restaurant. The hotel is on a retail park, on the outskirts of the town but the shops and eateries are worth a visit. The room was basic, but clean, this was expected. The shower and basin is in the bedroom which was inconvenient when other members of the family were visiting the room. Breakfast was a basic continental offering."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Hôtel de France in Bergerac and couldn't recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Special mention must go to the gentleman who checked us in — he was friendly, helpful and welcoming from the very first moment, nothing was too much trouble, and he gave us brilliant tips on the local area. It's rare to receive such a genuinely warm welcome, and it set the tone for our whole stay. The rest of the staff were equally lovely — always smiling, always happy to help, and clearly proud of their hotel. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the location is perfect for exploring Bergerac's beautiful old town, just a short stroll away. We left feeling like we'd been looked after by friends rather than staff. We'll definitely be back — thank you to the whole team, and especially to the gentleman on reception!"
