"Great hotel ! "

"i'd like to recognize Lawrence at the breakfast time. Although we did not partake of any of the food because we had our own, he was very accommodating, personable, and very welcoming. The biggest sushi we had there is the first room we were given was not made up so they sent us to another one which was fine… And then 4:30 in the morning the telephone went off with a message, which was not able to attain. When I went to the front desk and asked about it, she said… Oh yeah all of the messages go...

"Not enough tv channels and its right next to Kings Dominion "

"Air conditioner works great!! Excellent water pressure and hot water in showers. Cool mirror on ceiling. 🤔"

"This hotel is Conveniently located across the street from Kings Dominion. We drove 3 1/2 hours to go to amusement park and after a long day needed to rest. We drove literally out of the park lot across street to this hotel. The indoor pool added for extra fun for kids. Pool open til11pm and check out at 12 so that helped a lot to. The hotel is clean and served a good breakfast. The beds aren’t the best but everything is clean!"

"Very helpful and polite staff. Everything was clean, there were a few areas where age was beginning to show but was not a problem. Good breakfast. I will say that the people that designed this motel must have been thinking in terms of 5 year old kids when they ordered toilets. They are way too low for adults and when you get to be 85 like I am, getting up from low positions sometimes presents a challenge."

"The hotel had just the perfect balance of no-frills with practical and comfortable features. The breakfast and coffee were A+. Definitely will look for other Avid Hotels."

"Hot tub had 1 inch of scum around the edge, stains on the furniture, food under the bed, blood in the light switch, hair in the sink, smelled like cigarettes."

"At check-in, the staff member was poorly groomed and seemed more focused on his phone call than assisting us. The elevators had a bad odor. In the room, the door latch didn’t work properly and the security lock appeared broken, as if it had been forced. Some lights were partially hanging from the ceiling, and the curtains were dripping. Overall, a very poor experience. I wasn’t expecting luxury; just a decent place and this fell far short."

"Our room was large and very clean. The only thing that keeps me from giving a five star review was the noise. All night I was kept awake by stomping and noises of moving furniture around above us. The side wall wasn’t very good at noise insulation either."

"Was a first class hotel and is now in poor condition, the owners need to spend some $ the golf course next store is closed and nothing but weeds and cut down trees. Most staff are very nice."
