"This is a very old-school hotel that has almost certainly seen better days, but maintains a sort of old world grandeur that I quite liked. The rooms are huge and the service is good, but I'm not sure that it really merits "5 stars" if you compare to other hotels of that description. It is worth noting that most of the grand hotels in Montecatini Terme seem to be in similar condition."

"We stayed in a basic room for 4 nights. The rooms itself was probably the smallest we've ever stayed in and was very simple (no kettle, bedside table etc). However, it was in a really nice location, within walking distance (15 mins) from the hubbub, but in a quiet location and was really clean. We usually use earplugs when away but we didn't need to here! Amazing! Check-in/out was super speedy and the pool was a delight after a long day of sightseeing.
