"A nice quite pub, tucked away in the countryside offering a relaxed evening meal and drink after a hard days work. Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable."

"The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b."

"Really accommodating host.
We needed an early check in and this was sorted for us no problem.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good shower.
Although no-one manned the reception, the host was easy to get hold of and made the stay easy as pie.
Thank you very much"

"A very comfortable stay in a lovely guesthouse, well situated in Castle Cary. The hosts gave a very warm welcome and we appreciated their local knowledge and tips. Breakfast was exceptional with a great variety fresh fruits and compotes, as well as homemade granola and pastries. All in all, one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommended."

"Wow!!! Upon arrival our hearts sank. As you look at the building the right side looked dilapidated - curtains across windows at an angle and an air of disrepair. We almost drove back out.
However once you enter the double doors it’s like another world. Great reception area, clean and bright with two friendly receptionists ready to book in guests.
The rooms were bright and immaculately clean, with air conditioning, table and 2 chairs and a 6’0 bed. The bathroom was large and beautifully designed with lovely complimentary toiletries. The shower was a power shower with no heating issues.
Great little drinks tray on the vanity, various teas and coffees and two hot choc sachets as well as two bottles of still water.
If I had to be picky I’d say the TV could be bigger and a plug socket by the bed would be great but as a work trip staying one night it wasn’t an issue.
Overall ignore the facade and enjoy the hotel on the inside! "
"We really loved our stay at The Bull. I’ve been to many Fuller’s pubs in the past but never stayed in one of their hotels and after this great experience I will seek out other sites they run. The Bull was a character filled old building, renovated to a beautiful standard - impeccably clean, absolutely loved the décor too. Breakfast was really big and also full of quality ingredients. Great quality sheets and I love Bramley bath products. Staff very friendly. We stayed in the suite which was HUGE and really comfy, great value for such a nice property. Oh also they gave us a free drink at the pub downstairs since we were staying over, really nice touch! And free parking always helps. Hope to return sometime."
"Stayed in the manor house although checked in at the Club reception. No restaurant open, just the Club cafe, which was disappointing. Huge room and huge, comfy bed with large bathroom."
"Excellent welcome by staff on arrival
Breakfast fantastic a great choice and plenty of food
Parking was easy and it was straightforward to log your vehicle
Only little niggle was the room was cold because apparently the heating had been switched off two weeks earlier- I know it was June when I checked in but the English weather is unpredictable and a little heat at least first thing in the morning would have made it more comfortable"
"Had a lovely time at the Wookey hole hotel. It's the second time in 2 years that we have been. Situated next to Wookey hole itself, just a stone's throw away.
The place was spotless and clean. Staff were friendly enough. No problem parking. The restaurant now offer a buffet breakfast service for breakfast. How ever I much preferred having breakfast made to order, as no fried eggs only scrambled. Also I preferred it freshly cooked and delivered to your table. Not keen on the buffet breakfast personally. Other than that, it's set in such a lovely idyllic picturesque part of Somerset. Altogether very good value for money. Speaking of money, the hotel lacks a cash machine and you need to travel a couple of miles to get to one."
"Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room had plenty of space but could do with a refresh - bathroom in particular was looking very tired. Decent full English breakfast was worth the extra £8."
"The exterior of the building looks a bit run down, but other than that a really lovely hotel in a quiet rural location. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The restaurant served delicious food with very generous portions. Quiet outdoor seating area with lovely views. Would definitely recommend"
