"The location of this historic hotel was perfection. Situated in the heart of picturesque Montpelier we had a view of the gold domed state building and were able to walk to enticing shops, restaurants and the weekly farmers market. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very personable, helpful and welcoming. Although this is an older property with some dated features the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location makes it a property to visit again. "

"This is 5th time staying at Talta and 2nd time staying in a Stuga. Even with the help of staff, we were unable to get the cabin temperature down below 84F. We slept with fans and opened the windows and by morning the temp dropped to 81F. If customers have reserved a Stuga, ideally staff check the temp or assure that it’s in a reasonable range prior check in. Your staff did everything they could to help us. People in other Stuga units were reporting the same issue as well. With summer approaching I hope you get the air conditioners and thermostats sorted out!"

"The property is under construction, so it is a bit odd and quite empty. The reception people were very good and the room was clean, though we had a temporary portable air conditioner. There was no refrigerator and the was inconvenient. I think they all did the best they could with what they had."

"This Inn was a quiet, and convenient stay. The room was rather large and had a great view of the Vermont hills. The young man working the front desk and breakfast room the next morning was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather sparse, but we were able to get some coffee and toast before heading out."

"We stayed on a nice that had high humidity and hot temps. We attended a graduation, so it was very late when we got to the room. We noticed the A/C was not working, we spoke to the desk person. They explained how to reset the A/C in the room. We did that and still not working. We spoke to the desk again and was told to give it a half hour or more and if it doesnt work then they would give us another room. Well by then it was almost midnight and the kids had fallen asleep. So we didnt change rooms. An it was a miserable night sleeping"
