Its quite a unique place and very quiet and refreshing. Its an old property but looked after. The rose garden is stunning and a lovey old orchard to walk around in the grounds as well. The few people I met were lovely and very helpful and friendly.
The outstanding feature of the B&B was the peace, I slept really well. The breakfast was simple but good, the rooms were spotless and comfortable and I will definitely go there again.
What a lovely stay! Exactly what I needed and arrived with a very warm greeting and explained where everything was. Extremely clean and a great breakfast selection. Will definitely stay again when visiting my friends and family in the area again.
The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction.
Had a wonderful stay at the Monastery. Quiet and peaceful, it provided all we needed. The lady who checked us in and out was lovely. We will be back.

Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
I stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting a relative in the area. I was warmly welcomed on arrival and building codes were explained. Considering the age of the building the facilities were excellent. It felt safe and secure and I would happily return.

First time staying at a monastery
Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy
we were in Mirfield for a party, my mum and dads apartment only had room for my wife and I so my too adult child stayed at the Monastery. It is literally a 2 minutes drive from the centre of Mirfield. The staff were very helpful, the rooms are basic but clean and tidy. My boys didn’t use the breakfast facilities but the looked very good. and check in and out was a doddle.
we will definitely stay again😁
A wonderful experience staying in a monastery. The monastery and it's grounds are beautiful, spiritual and peaceful.
The room was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.
There were many thoughtful and considerate touches which raised this stay above many other b'n'bs that we have stayed in.
We attended evensong and it was very rewarding.
The simple continental breakfast was adequate.
There are many pubs and restaurants nearby in/near Mirfield. There is also a local train station with Huddersfield being only 8 minutes away.
I would highly recommend Mirfield monastery to anyone looking for a slightly different experience.
A wonderful place to stay, lovely old buildings, beautiful grounds. Friendly welcoming Community. Such a quiet calm experience. Will definitely stay here again.
