Amazing setting--spent hours bird watching from the deck (have you ever seen a Rufous Motmot?). Many local nature activities. Friendly, helpful staff that are into saying 'yes'. Birdwatching tours with David were outstanding.

I wish I could give them a 10!! From the moment we arrived, Angel and Bryan met us and whisked us away to a most magnificent room looking over the valley and to the mountain. The service that was offered (room service, info on things to do in the area, making sure we were aware of all the things the hotel offered (pool, etc). The restaurant offered a wide variety and most delicious food. It was so peaceful, and with a gated parking area, we felt very safe and secure. Mindo is a great little town with lots of things to do. I look forward to coming back.

Loved staying here! The manager was super nice and greeted us with a warm welcome. Everyone at this boutique hotel was well trained and hospitable. The view from our room was incredible and I can't wait to come back to visit this hotel as well as the Cloud Forest again!

Beautiful hotel and grounds with wonderful views off our back deck. The 2 person jetted tube was just what was needed after a day long hiking treks. Friendly and professional staff and we enjoyed a very good dinner on site and the included breakfast had several options and you can choose all you wish to eat.

Terrazas de Dana is magical. Family of four with special need kids, who also have severe food allergies. Extremely food allergy conscious. Immediately felt welcomed and relaxed. Rooms are super clean, comfortable and spacious. Food is delish and well priced. Ammenties are bountiful so hard to name them all but suffice to say they jade thought of everything, including binocs for bird watching, umbrellas for rainy days, coffee and tea stations, well lit pathways, etc. Property is gated/ safe and beautiful. Staff are super kind and patient and helpful. Words can’t describe how magically this place is.

I’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in some incredible 5-star hotels, but nothing truly compares to this experience. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel completely at home. I even ended up rearranging my trip just so I could stay here longer. The property is charming and beautifully maintained, with service that is second to none. The team goes above and beyond—whether it’s helping with activities in the area, arranging transportation, offering local specialties, or even having simple food options available for pickier eaters. The spa, located at the top of the grounds, is fantastic. I had a coffee scrub and massage that completely rejuvenated me after coming from the high altitude in Quito. When my friend wasn’t feeling well, they even prepared her a special tea—and she felt better the very next day. Meals on the balcony were unforgettable, surrounded by birds, butterflies, and the soothing sound of rainfall. The gentle, sweet property dog quickly became a highlight of our stay—we looked forward to seeing her every day. This place is a true gem. It’s close to town yet feels like a peaceful retreat. Stay as long as you can—you won’t want to leave! GREAT VALUE for the very reasonable price.

From the very beginning the service was outstanding, we were greeted at the door with a smile and such a good vibe. The facilities are spectacular, the staff warm and inviting, and the hotel itself is stunning. It felt like true paradise, the rainforest outside our door. I wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was so perfect. We could see so many birds from our room, and they had binoculars to borrow. The staff was so helpful and kind. Our birding guide, Marcelo, was amazing. The room was really comfortable and the restaurant was great, too.

This is a hidden gem. With easy access to all the activities in Mindo, this little resort has it all. When you arrive you are warmly greeted and the staff is eager to help make your stay memorable. The rooms are luxurious and the offer incredible views of the cloud forest. The food is incredible, the pool is gorgeous, and the surrounding environment is breathtaking. I can't wait to go back.

This is a very special place. The staff is lovely and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Mindo is beautiful. From Las Terrazas we were able to walk to the waterfall chairlift, the butterfly house, the tubing operation, the ziplines, etc… It is the perfect combination of remote and convenient. The restaurant is fantastic, the prices are great. I really can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Staff are terrific; Marco was so friendly and accommodating and kind. Pool was lovely (that's one of the reasons we chose this hotel). Dinner food was just ok -- and overpriced for Ecuador. Private terrace off the room was serene. Just be sure to bring mosquito/bug repellent; you'll need it. Cost of hotel is really high for Ecuador and as a result, all the guests we met seemed to be American. One small complaint: The cleaning solution used is really strong and chemical-smelling (but the room and grounds are immaculate!); And I can't say enough good about the staff.
