Travel to Minamiashigara

My favorite hotel in Tokyo. The front desk team is excellent, the rooms are perfectly laid out, and the subway is very close. All the finishes in the rooms are luxurious, and there is a high level of attention to detail overall. The neighborhood feels authentic and peaceful. Five stars across the board!

We rented the 4-bed rooms (each bed is a single/twin size that seems to be just a little shorter than twin beds in the US); the room capacity was 4 people. Included in the room were large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and individually wrapped toothbrushes with toothpaste; slippers and spa wear/pajamas, and ample towels. There were 4 (free) bottles of spring water that were restocked each night, along with coffee pods, etc. More toiletries were available in the lobby, including hair brushes, razors, skincare, hair treatments, and small towels. We were given multiple packages of skincare items upon check-in. There was a small closet for the bidet and wet-room/shower room that included a very deep bathtub. The rest of the room was very compact but included a safe, TV, and refrigerator. Check-in/out were quick and easy, and the staff spoke fluent English and were extremely polite. There is a full restaurant on-site, including a bar and an adjacent small coffee/morning snack stand. There is also a convenience store on-site that has an ATM, bottled drinks and food, and basics. This hotel is about 1.5 blocks away from a train station - from there, you can get to pretty much anywhere in the city in under an hour for less than 700-800 yen. (Most places seemed to be 20-40 minutes away and less than 500 yen.) The hotel lists a handful of restaurants within walking distance; there is also a full grocery store behind the train station. Highly recommend.

Very convenient spot, quick to get to the train station and a million things to do in the area. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, many spoke a bit of multiple languages. Great showers, clean throughout. Gym is very very small, and the shower soap was a bit strong… but hey, it was 90 and humid during July so it’s probably necessary. Overall a fantastic place to stay if you want to see what tokyo is all about.

Liked the proximity to the station and the bar and restaurant options

Excellent, beautiful, high end property.. my only teeny tiny complaint is the laundromat.. there are only 4 machines and they were occupied a great deal during our trip… but, outside of that, which is outside the hotels control, I will stay at this property every single time in Tokyo!!
