"First timers celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. Our stay was FANTASTIC! The hotel is soo beautiful & welcoming; free parking, easy breezy early check in & out + sunny weather! Pictures don’t do this place justice. They had my bf’s name on the board wishing him a happy bday +note & 2 chocolates in the room. It made him smile & was a sweet surprise 😊We were in a Rehoboth king room w/a balcony; room had a slight smell when we first walked in, but after opening the balcony door, it went away! Room was spacious w/a slightly stained couch; we got such amazing sleep as the bed was sooo comfy! Housekeeping replaced towels & basic things as expected. Breakfast was plentiful & a lovely variety. concierge & servers were all so courteous! Enjoyed the wine & cheese hour + night time cookies. Didn’t get around to the gym, spa or The Blue Hen rest. enjoyed the indoor pool. Hotel is walking distance frm the beach & boardwalk where we snagged Grotto pizza, funnel cake etc :) We couldn’t resist & bought some beautiful jewelry frm the whimsical Scandinavian shop located on the shopping strip. They offered shuttle rides to & from the boardwalk, beach towels & beach chairs. Also offered beach towels for the pool/hot tub as well.plan to return and will make this our regular hotel when we travel to Rehoboth. We passed so many hotels, inns, motels en route to the boardwalk… but have no complaints about the Avenue Inn. We look forward to returning later this yr during the holidays, and thereafter!"
