"You can walk across to Macquarie shopping centre! Easy parking, lovely rooms and staff, free coffee downstairs. Paid way too much because we were there during an event but worth it. "

"Stayed here many times over the years previous to Visy and have never paid for parking, I understand to charge if workers from nearby buildings were using but hotel guests should not be charged. The hotel is years overdue for an update, the hallways smelt and very run down. There was a fire alarm went off at midnight waking all from their sleep and it appeared that only one night manager on duty and one security guard, they both appeared to be “lost” and giving NO direction to anyone. The culprit for the alarm was a male in a room smoking. We didn’t even bother to stay for breakfast as couldn’t wait to leave. The second worst hotel I have stayed in and the actually worst in Hawaii was due for demolition - this should be on the list for this hotel."

"Staff were excellent room housekeeping was lacking attention to detail with restocking and vacuuming. Room sofa was sagging"

"Shower and toilet had to step up into people should be told about this as being an elderly woman would have preferred a level open for saftey.thought breakfast could have been better if cooked things were hot not lukewarm."

"Excellent recent stay at the Mercure. It is a short walk from so many places I wanted to see. It is clean, friendly and accomodating, with large rooms, great amenities and everything you need. "

"Booked 2 bedroom but surprised they don't even provide microwave but they do have same in 1 bedroom. Stayed few night but was unable to connect my device to TV for entertainment. Even TV was hard to negotiate with there hotel software. They do provide bottle for water but when asked ask house keeping for refill she went in the bathroom and refilled from tap and put the bottle in fridge. I won't trust the hygiene of the water. "
