"Overall great stay. Only thing I didn’t prefer (my own preference) was the humidity in the atrium. But in a west Texas girl and not used to any. My daughter loved the pool and Play ground. Food was AMAZING. Once we arrived we didn’t leave until the morning since it had everything. Will be staying here again next month! "

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room employee is outstanding as far as keeping the different foods replenished and the cleanliness was excellent. She was also very friendly and courteous. The housekeeping was a grade B. They were fast and efficient but forgot to cover a couple of items. Overall I would give the hotel an A-. "

"I checked out within an hour of checking in. The room was uninhabitable! The a/c front was broken in pieces, dirty and on the floor. The "guts" of the a/c were dirty. None of the lamps worked (above the bed, the lamp on the desk didn't even have a lightbulb in it). Towels were in tatters. I had stayed in this hotel several times, but this was my last visit. I lost $230 in the process, but I was not staying here again."

"Arrived 2130 hours, absolutely NO staff around. After waiting 15 minutes, called the hotel. No answer. Waited 5 more minutes, called and a lady said she'd be there in 5 - 10 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later. Was told I had not booked lodging, had to pull up email from Motels.com showing booking from January/2026. Today was March/2026. Hotel agent had no room set aside, now began a 1.5 hour repeat of her calling, calling, calling to find someone who would swap my reservation. 2 hours 22 minutes later agent finally agreed to refund my reservation payment. Hotel site, grounds and office were absolutely filthy. 3 different homeless people were lounging in the drive up foyer and by looking at the hotel the rooms were poorly maintained. DO NOT BOOK THIS FACILITY!! I finally went with Motels.com. Immediate reservation at a Microtel. Stay there, please. The San Angelo Lodge might be better off if condemned "
