10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was really nice, however we had people in their early twenties in the room next to us. They played their music really loudly all ours of the night. Stopped at 11 and then they came back at 3am and started playing their music loudly again until about 6am. They hopped on to our deck to take the chairs. We called guest services and they did nothing about it. We were only there for one night before our cruise. If we stayed any longer, we would have asked for a different room."

"Catfish Hotel - online pictures are amazing, looks like they were taken years ago because IRL I barely recognized the hotel from the photos. Location was great. Near the beach and restaurants. We had live larvae on our pillows when we walked in the room. We had about five of them, so we flushed them down the toilet and cleaned up the bed. Thinking it was a one-off. Next day we didn’t see any bugs until we got back from dinner. New bugs with wings were dead on our little refrigerator, we had about 20 of them just dead on there. Funny thing is, we walked out of the room with no bugs on there, house cleaning literally walked in after us and when we returned we found 20 bugs dead on the window of the refrigerator, so weird. So I took pictures, walked to front desk, showed them pictures of the bugs, they said they will clean it up and never did. We checked out the next morning. If we visit South Beach Miami. We will look for another hotel. Was not impressed with cleanliness or service. I’ll spend the extra $20-$40/night and stay next door, we checked out those properties and they are actually clean."

"We first arrived in the room they gave us was a suite and the only thing they had in there was a couch. Looks nothing like the pictures. The bedroom had two double beds and one nightstand and no plug-ins for lamps for your phones. They did upgrade us after we complained. The next room was better. It was filled with furniture and lamps and nightstands, but the blackout curtains weren’t blackout curtains. It was bright. The bathrooms had missing tiles and dirty grout. We had friends and other rooms and they were experiencing similar in their bathrooms. They really just need to update and remake a lot of repairs."

"Our stay at the 1 Hotel was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was beautiful, calming and perfectly located in South Beach. The staff is incredible. They were kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was out of this world. We felt like we were emerged into a spa, creating this amazing, relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved how close the hotel was to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions. Everything was within walking distance, making our trip easy and enjoyable. The amenities were excellent, and the entire property was luxurious. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting South Beach."

"My room was stunning and bed was super comfortable. I rated the hotel a bit lower because I had a rough experience. My room wasn’t ready until 6 pm so I missed by evening plans after a long day of travel. The staff was accommodating- They fed me and provided an additional credit to compensate me for the inconvenience. Food service at the beach was quite slow and I ended up getting food poising later that night. They did an investigation into what the cause could be and provided me some spring waters. If I chose to stay here again, I would probably just not order food at the beach and call ahead to ensure my room is ready before I arrive. Again, I really loved my room, but my experience was unfortunately tainted by a few experiences."
