The Hotel exceeded our expectations even though friends had stayed at the hotel and recommended it to us. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The room was fabulous, we had a deluxe king room. The room was spotless the daily housekeeping was top notch. The public area is gorgeous and I am very picky. The breakfast over looking Zocalos square and the cathedral is magical. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the service was exceptional, the cuisine was exceptional, music was great, view amazing and overall ambiance wonderful. We also were blown away by the special touches such as the hand written welcome note and treat. We also had another hand written note and two little bottles of red wine left for us on our final night. I have already recommended this hotel to other friends and would recommend it to everyone. Loved the hotel and loved Mexico City.

This place used to be a Holiday Inn…it has been magically turned into my favorite go to place in CDMX. Location, parking, amazing amount of good free food, excellent rooftop restaurant/bar with amazing view, gift store, and front desk service all top notch. We will always return to Zoc Cent!

Loved historic lobby, rooftop restaurant overlook. Immaculate hotel. Delicious included breakfast and complementary beers, coffees and sandwiches 24/7 in lobby was perfect for my young adult children who accompanied me. Location was as central as it gets. Easy and inexpensive to uber to other neighborhoods. Thank you for a great CDMX vacation.

Room was clean, friendly staff, and awesome complimentary 24/7 cafe available in the main lobby. The rooftop restaurant had excellent complimentary breakfast with delicious chilaquiles and pan dulce. What an incredible hotel! The staff is lovely and helpful, from the front desk to the cafe to the cleaning staff to the doormen. The location is unbelievably convenient to the Zocalo, and being there over the holidays meant we could spend time throughout the day and evenings enjoying the huge Christmas spectacle. I recommend asking for a room with a view to the outside, our window faced into the hotel, so while it was nice and dark (and quiet) during the night, I think seeing daylight would be a good trade off for quiet (of course they offered me a room change, which was so appreciated). Pay the cafe with cash! We filled out receipts every day and included a tip but in the end, the cafe charges were all part of the room rate! As was the breakfast. Amazing for us but meant no tips for the food staff. We had no idea until we checked out. 🇲🇽 But we will definitely be back!

This hotel has it all - amazing location, generous amenities, free walking tours, helpful trip planning services, spotless rooms, friendly staff. The rooftop restaurant (included breakfast) was special with a view over the Zocalo. We felt well cared for, especially by Sandra - who made sure to acknowledge a birthday! Highly recommended.

Overall my stay at the Hotel Zocalo was ok. I wanted to love this hotel because it’s close to so many places…after all it’s in the Zocalo, but my issue with the hotel was that our room felt too small. Hubby and I paid for a deluxe King room and for the price that was paid we expected better. Our room felt cramped and on top of that there was construction happening on the building next to where our room was and the construction went on until late at night which was honestly quite irritating. Sadly I did not take pictures of the room, I messed up on that part but trust when I say the room was small. The view of the hotel itself is marvelous and upon arrival we were offered a complementary shot of tequila or wine (shot preferred) The breakfast was ok, hubby enjoyed his breakfast. I did not care for the hotcakes though.

The servers female were slow and rude, made us feel as we we’re not planing on paying our bill for items not included in the breakfast package we purchased at home. They never seated us, never checked on us, forgot some of what we ordered, but saw them go out of their way for others. Im from California and felt the racism here than i have at home.

The hotel has a fantastic location, very close to the Zócalo, which makes sightseeing extremely convenient. The breakfast is quite good, with decent quality and variety, although the selection stays the same every day, so it can feel a bit repetitive after a while. The hotel provides complimentary bottled water and apples, which is a thoughtful touch. Sometimes when I felt a bit hungry, grabbing an apple was really nice. The staff are friendly and helpful overall. One downside is the noise outside. Because the hotel is so close to the main square, it can be quite noisy, especially during the day and late evenings. Overall, a very convenient stay with good service, but light sleepers should be aware of the street noise.

Beautiful hotel, clean rooms, wonderful view from rooftop restaurant Balcon de Zocalo. We had free breakfast which was very good and also free small plates, beer, soda from the small cafe downstairs. Our only issue was with some of the cafe staff who seemed somewhat annoyed when you would order at the cafe. Also, be aware the Zocalo plaza has alot of activities, so it can be very loud outside your windows. Other than those 2 things, it’s a very nice hotel and location.

Premium breakfast, excellent service, and a clean room with updated décor and modern furniture. Complimentary bottled water available anytime throughout the day. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the location is great and convenient. A thoughtful welcome upon arrival, including a personalized welcome note with my name on it, along with a small bottle of wine, a tequila bottle, macarons, and chocolates. I will definitely stay here again.

The place was wonderful the staff went above and beyond. Already making plans to return. The front desk was very helpful they even do dollar exchange there. Breakfast is included and there is lots to do around. I recommend take a tour to learn the history. The front desk also help finding tours it was all I needed iny stay.
