Great location if you want to be in the heart of the city. Their terrace has an amazing view but the food is average. A place like that could have better food, even if you have to pay a little more for a tastier menu.
The beautiful Gran Hotel offers a historical building lover's delight. The restaurant is open air with a fantastic view of the Zocalo but can be very breezy. We found the breakfast expensive. The staff is attentive.
If location is everything, this hotel has already won—then it goes on to impress even more. The rooftop terrace offers terrific views to Zocalo plaza, President's Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral, the staff are gracious (and thankfully English-speaking), and the rooms are generously sized. Elegant interiors and a striking Tiffany-style ceiling add real character. Highly recommended — no hesitation.
Gorgeous building and views of El Zócalo, staff is top notch. Only downsides were the squeaky bathroom door and lack of soundproofing from outside events.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. I had a lot of questions about places to visit and restaurants to eat at, and Emannuel always had the answer. He was very knowledgeable and made the stay enjoyable.
Great place with great zocalo views and outstanding service

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. The only thing that hurt was that I could hear the plumbing noises - on and off - through the night which made going to sleep hard
Staff was extremely courteous and friendly from my initial entry into the hotel and with all subsequent interactions with staff at the desk, in the lobby and at the restaurant.
Rooms large, clean and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed to move our Zocala facing room due to noisy festival in the square and they accommodated us readily.
It was a nice hotel but for the price we paid I think it is over hyped. The buffet was not good either, but view at the balcony was nice and staff was really nice.
