"From the very first moment to the very last, everything felt genuinely wonderful. We’re surrounded by Michelin starred spots at home, yet The Grosvenor’s food doesn’t just keep up…. it outshines so many of the places on our doorstep. "Friendly helpful staff, lovely ambience, no problem with late night return (from a party), comfy beds, great breakfast and nice village. Only criticism was slightly ageing (noisy) extractor fan in bathroom and ancient double glazing arrangement made opening a window quite a task. But all in all an excellent stay."

"This was an amazing experience! These people have been doing this for 40 years, and have it down! Hospitality is second nature to them! Everything was lovely! They gave us the family suite so we wouldn’t have to bring our luggage upstairs. Hilary made the most perfect breakfast and it was so lovely to chat with her. "We stayed in the room called 'The General' - A gorgeous room in the main building with a lovely four poster bed and a balcony. The room was great, it could just do with a little TLC on a few parts (Very minor). Great staff, lovely pub and wonderful food and drink."

"The building is centuries old, so keep that in mind. The stairs are not always level, but they manage to provide modern amenities. The restaurant is a favorite among locals for good reason. And the House is across the street from the cathedral. So convenient."

"Friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival and also the next day. My single room was clean as was bed linen and towels. Room not large but more than adequate for an overnight stay. No dinner served in the hotel but they are happy to recommend local eateries of which there are many. The hotel does have a bar which was open for 4 hours in the evening. Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast and cooked. They cook your eggs to your preference eg poached, fried...

"It was a quaint hotel. The staff were extremely friendly. We really appreciated Simon, the bartender, Victoria the manager, Katelyn and Angie as well. There were others I didn’t catch their names. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as was the restaurant. The location was perfect to be able to walk to City Centre. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Salisbury and the surrounding countryside."
