"The property was clean and the staff was helpful and accommodating. Location is right off the highway so you get the expected noise. The complimentary morning coffee is instant from concentrate so the taste is…off. Also, the WiFi has issues connecting and staying connected."

"The hot water heater broke at 245 AM in the ceiling of the bathroom. Woke me up with water pouring in through the ceiling. I reported it to the front desk, this is almost 3am. The front desk lady was so rude and treated me terrible. When I asked for another room she got mad at me and told me if I wanted another room id have to get up and go to her to do it (its a big hotel). I told her it was 3am and I still had to pack and asked her to bring me the new key. She got mad at me for it then brought it to me. She gave me a dbl bed room (I had a king suite). She also put me on the other side of the hotel, so I had a long way to go. When she got to my room, she was very rude to me. By the time I got to my new room, the room was hot and took hours to cool. When I finally got back to sleep it was 5am and I had to be up at 630am. Its a long day business trip and Im a zombie today. No one from the hotel offered any kind of assistance, or offered a remedy, I had the demand a new room."

"The hotel has charm as a historical building. The room was decent but lacked any historical quality that could have made the stay feel special. The carpet is old and dirty and the bathroom floor was also in need of an update. The shower had low pressure and the tub and walls gave the impression that they hadn’t been cleaned in a while."

"My biggest concern during my stay was the disrespectful behavior of a young employee working at the front office. This was the second time my room card stopped working, so I went to the office for assistance. The employee made adjustment on the computer and handed the card back to me, but she spoke to me with an unnecessary attitude even though I had remained respectful throughout the interaction. I did not argue or respond negatively. I simply took the card, looked at her, and shook my head to express my disappointment. As I was leaving the window, she directed an offensive remank toward me, saying "You are not going to get an attitude with me, F***you." I found this behavior highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Guests should be treated with courtesy and respect, especially when reporting a problem that requires assistance. This incident occurred at La Copa Inn, located at 1010 W. Houston Ave. McAllen TX 78501."
