Hotel Dekat Memorial Tiglachin

"Our room at the Melka International Hotel had an amazing view of the city. The hotel is close to major tourist attractions, including the new location for Yod Abyssinia, which is in walking distance. The staff was friendly, helpful and were expecting us when we arrived at close to midnight. When we purchased food at the restaurant we had difficulty charging to the room and it seems that they don't provide that service. We opted not to stay at the Melka for our entire trip solely because of the...

"The entire experience of visiting Addas Ababa, was excellent! The city has a million excellent views, with more than half of them from the Sheraton LUX, which offered it all, convenience, clean, shine and service, we got it all. The best was the staff. I’m coming back soon. As for all the warnings, either someone lying or those some kind soldiers"

"Staff was excellent, the room was always kept in pristine condition; however, the food could use some improvement and the internet was absolutely horrible. I didn’t visit the spa or gym."

"All I usually need is decent bed, shower, and I’m good. Churchill fits."

"The staff were exceptional and really responsive to my requests."

"Clean and comfortable"

"Fabulous stay except no access to the pool. Staff were amazing especially Hannah who helped us with so many things. Very pleased. Love Ethiopia hospitality! e"

"Fabulous hotel, considering the price. Clean, classy rooms, very helpful staff, free airport shuttle. They even have two lovely restaurants: one modern, and another all traditional. Top quality."

"I had higher expectations. The place might have been good at one time, but is incredibly run down and is in need of renovations. I guess for what you pay it makes sense. In the room there were cracks, damaged doors, missing items and the mats were grungy. The floors were also dirty on arrival as well and only had floor towels available during the entire trip. There was an ironing board with no iron and tea bags and set up with no device to heat up the water. We were also supposed to be picked up...

"Safe and clean with cheap price. It’s a beautiful hotel to stay. "

"The hotel told me they could not honor the payment I made through hotels.com and they asked me to pay them directly. In the end I was double billed for the same stay. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you go to Addis Ababa. I am a platinum member and long time customer of hotels.com but I am no longer going to use them after this trip. They should not be advertising such shady hotels on their site. "

"It was a nice property, but I had a lot of trouble connecting to wifi. they said someone would come install it, but it never happened. Nice staff though. It was also clean."

"Hotel staff are very friendly, always ready to render assistance"

"The staff doesn’t clean the area bedding sheets, I got a skin infection which comes from bacteria. They changed the pillow case once, Disgusting. They play loud music all night long and u can’t sleep most nights. I felt disgusting the entire night. The food was so-so. Whenever u ask for something like a desert they never have it. I don’t think they wash the towel so I never used it. Thank God I brought my own. "
