"We had a lovely stay here, nice breakfast included, 5 minute drive from Hope and easy access to lots of walking routes."

"Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "

"The hotel is really nice, the twin room we stayed in, although not as big as some, was cosy and well equipped. With a coffee machine and mini bar, a wide screen tv and a fabulous ultra modern wet room, it had everything we wanted in a hotel stay. Reception staff were very welcoming and efficient, and the bar was a small and intimate space to enjoy a drink. The only downside to our stay was the breakfast. The continental selection was brilliant with a wide choice of hot and cold drinks, cereals...

"Nicely located simple hotel. Very cheap so good value for money. Good simple breakfast. Clean simple room. Overall very quiet. Staff are a mix of friendly and indifferent. Some fixtures like plug points were a little loose. My key card kept malfunctioning which was a minor inconvenience. Only minor downsides were the public area especially the lobby were boiling and the staff used the fire exit near the stairs to smoke outside of and propped the door open so the stairwell stunk of cigarettes."

"Continental breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated, stayed in a double room on the ground floor. And they do need to dust the furniture in the room. Bathroom was modern looking and clean like it had a refurbishment. Staying on the ground floor was a bit noisy at times with doors closing etc and hearing the bar and staff entrance door opening and closing. Overall good values for money and nice to have Co-op and Tesco nearby. Plus the Italian restaurant...

"TRUE AFFORDABLE LUXURY but nightmare check-in The room (a suite really) was huge and the kitchen facilities and bathroom (with bath!) outstanding. Two huge televisions a very luxurious bed. My only problem was at CHECK-IN. I paid for 4 nights but after a major operation my wife was unable to come so I stayed only two. I wrote a letter to the hotel (no email address on the hotel website) and got a nice email reply saying that when I arrived I would be already checked in whatever time I...

"Clean room liked the idea of two duvets on the bed, all the staff we came in contact with were extremely polite. Good breakfast plenty of choices, I requested veggie/vegan sausage and it was we're freshly cooked for me. Unlimited teas and coffee available during the stay. Would definitely stay again. "
