"A quiet, lovely place to stay. The view from our balcony was amazing, watching the boats was so peaceful. Everyone was very helpful and kind. I loved we were away from the fray of the more busy, touristy section but still just a walk over the bridge to get to it. We will return."

"I had a wonderful five night stay here. The location is convenient but in a quiet area. Parking is included and an easy walk down a block and around the corner. I parked my car and never moved it. "Room and a hotel was very neat. Excellent location and veiw. Staff went above and beyond. Only complaint is lack of typical hotel amenities like ice machines and vending machines. Parking was inconvenient but location makes up for it."

"Charm and location. The room we stayed in was truly like being home (we live in an 1892 Victorian) and we instantly fell in love with the decor. Unlike the "brand name" lodgings that we've become accustomed to The Powder House was the antithesis of the sterile institutional cookie cutter banality.
