"Parking was great, front desk was really friendly, the room is a little dated (which we knew when booking), but still okay and relatively clean. No complaints for our stay, which was chosen for its location."

"Perfect stay for anyone visiting Dorchester. Hotel is super clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Parking needs to be pre-booked but there are a number of car parks close by. Hotel is 'room only' which works really well as there is no pressure to get to breakfast! Loads of choices within a 5 minute walk of the hotel which includes the 'Horse with the Red Umbrella' and the Dorset Museum. Room's are comfy and provide everything you need for your stay. There is a handy vending machine wher you can buy drinks and snacks as well as complimentary tea/coffee. The hotel has a dining room which can be used by guest to eat take-aways etc., plates and cutlery are provided. All-in-all a great hotel and very good value for money. Oh and did I mention they are dog friendly (check before you book though). Will definitely stay here again as there are many things still to see in Dorchester."

"An unfortunate start to our stay in a very mediocre "standard" double room. The TV did not work, despite a staff member trying to sort it-& was left to the next day as already early evening. This room was "tired" and small. The hotel is an old Victorian hotel, sprawling with work being done. (There was scaffold to be seen from the window & some "works" noise heard during working hours, but faint.) The lift was old, but worked fine and lighting worked on a sensor... not always quite light & the passage was often dim as no daylight. The communal carpets were old and visible dust accumulation along the edges and at corners to doorways. We asked if the TV was noted for fixing at reception the next morning, and this was confirmed. We sat in the dining room and waited for breakfast as I was told by a staff member that I did not need to book just come down and "we will sort you". A sparse continental breakfast buffet was on display and I helped myself to an apple and yoghurt. (I was pleased there was plain greek yoghurt- but the bowl was enough for one generous helping... maybe 2! There was 1 banana and some apples, red and green, pastry, bread and cereal. (None which we eat due to being diabetic.) We didn't wait to have the cooked choice. The coffee was good. On checking at midday about the TV, it was not fixed and we were upgraded to a seafront room. Large &great view, apart from the trek... which included a few short staircases. Asda on JustPark has cheap parking if you can walk"

"I stayed here when in Weymouth for my brother's funeral. The staff (bar and reception) can't think of your names but I'm sure you will know who you are if you read this, we're so kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble. Did find a random sock in my room but hey ho lol. I didn't have an evening meal but what I saw looked dam delicious. Breakfast, everything you could ask for just a shame I didn't have a big enough appetite. Thanks for looking after me ❤️"

"A lovely place to stay, with easy access to the coast by car. Our twin room was clean and very comfortable, with nice toiletries and tea making facilities provided. Complementary continental breakfast was provided but there was nobody to assist and some items were running low. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and guests were enjoying roast lunches which looked amazing. Sadly, we'd already eaten!"
