"These are rooms in the house where the family lives. It was a bit of a hassle to take off our shoes outside. The room was clean and in better condition than the hotels we've stayed in! The staff were friendly, and communication was seamless via smartphone translator. It's close to the train station and the bus to Taroko."

No breakfast but coupons offered for a nearby fast food. Very humid, unpleasant smell in the room in spite of scents used upon arrival. Bed shall be changed (you feel the springs in your back). "Hospitality of the staff and a gentleman (whom I guess is the manager) at this hotel is amazing. The warmth and sincerity is just so different from luxury hotels in large cities. The hotel modern, relatively new and just 5 mins walk from Hualien train station (visible from the station exit) and close to many car rental agencies. Undoubtedly my top choice if I return to Hualien in future."
