⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 – Beautiful Property, Great Food, but Service Needs Improvement
We recently stayed at a Sandals resort and were genuinely impressed by how beautiful the property was. The grounds were immaculate, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food throughout the resort was truly amazing. You can tell a lot of care goes into the culinary experience, and we appreciated that.
However, a few service issues kept the stay from being perfect. At one of the restaurants, we waited for a lunch table and were ignored for about two minutes while staff walked past us without acknowledging we were there. It wasn’t a long wait, but it didn’t match the level of attentiveness you expect from a resort of this caliber.
The biggest disappointment was with one of our excursions. It had been scheduled for the day before, but when we arrived on time, we ended up waiting in the lobby for an hour only to be told it was cancelled due to lack of availability. It was frustrating to lose that time and miss out on an experience we were looking forward to—especially since we could have planned something else instead.
Overall, the resort itself is stunning and the food exceeded expectations, but the service inconsistencies and excursion mishap were disappointing. With a bit more attention to guest communication and hospitality, this stay could have easily been a five‑star experience.
