"Weโve been staying at this hotel almost every year for about the last six. Itโs always been an outstanding property. I have to say this year I noticed quite a bit of deterioration of the property. The carpets and chairs in the lobby are badly stained, and it appeared the A/C wasnโt working either. The landscaping on the front side of the building is nothing but overgrown weeds. The toilet in our room ran constantly. Granted this didnโt necessarily impede our stay, but it doesnโt present the place too well. Iโm not sure if ownership has changed or what caused this. The room itself seemed clean and the staff was pleasant."

"It was a nice one night stay. The staff was friendly, the room clean and nice sized. There are several places to eat within walking distance. The halls can be a bit tricky to navigate; a map would have been nice. I don't anticipate visiting Somerset again but if I do, I would definitely consider this property."

"Basic but perfect for the outdoorsy area. Clean. Walkable to good restaurants and coffee shops, bike trail, Visitor center. Pricey for what you get and for such a remote area but serves the purpose. "

"It is a classic, historical structure. The outdoor deck is a great place to watch sunset while gathering with other guests. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi / hot tub. I enjoyed walking through the lobby area reading about the history of the Hotel, very interesting. The room was very comfortable. I would have given a 5 star except for the bathroom vanity. We had a unit with a pedestal sink. I believe they keep these sinks to enhance the historical feel but in today's world people need counter space to place toiletries, especially women. As a developer our bath had plenty of room for a 36 (or larger) vanity. This along with a few more hooks in the bath for wet towels etc... would have made the stay so much more enjoyable. I write this review more for Summit Management than for the consumer. They do so many things great, please correct this. Also, to the general public, do not let this cause you not to stay there. It's a beautiful place and please go and enjoy."

"This place appears to have had a nice facelift. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and bright. The room and fixtures were clean and bright. The hot breakfast was very good. Lots of selection from continental to a complete hot breakfast including oatmeal and warm sticky buns! We will definitely stay here again."
