"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges.
There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room
The building could do with some refurbishment
The views and gardens are beautiful
The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble
The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

"Stayed in a twin room, it wasn't a large room but it was ideal for the 2 nights we stayed. Beds were comfy and we slept well.The breakfast was really good and the quality of the food was excellent. They don't do any other meals than breakfast but the hotel is in a good location just a 10 to 15 minutes walk into the shambles area if York. They also have a private car park."

"My single bed room was small but everything worked okay. TV, Hot water kettle, AC, mini fridge. My room was on the back side of the hotel so it was quiet. No street noise or train noise. Very quiet. Coffee, sugar cream and towels were restocked daily. Check in and out was easy. Nice large lobby with plenty of chairs and couches. Hotel is next to the Leeds Train Station. Very convenient."

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for.
Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

"I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel.
The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover.
However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."

"Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems.
