"Learn from my mistake: Locanda Della Maria is close to the SAN GIOVANNI ferry stop. I made the mistake of assuming it was near the Bellagio ferry stop and had to make a very difficult walk to get there. Once there, it was TERRIFIC! Great value for money; very helpful staff, good breakfast and close to two “off the beaten path” places to eat; one casual (Nene) and one upscale local cuisine (Ittiturismo Mella ) both very good and CONVENIENT. Ask one of the staff for tips and your time in the Lake...

"This property is truly lovely. The rooms are spacious, large and fresh. Our room I thought when I saw the picture with the bunk beds will be simple but it was elegant. The property lies slightly out of town behind a nice electronic gate that opens up into a nice driveway and garden with a pool and an amazing view of a rock faced mountain. The building has be refurbished, yes with Ikea, but it is tasteful done. The breakfast was simple, scrambled eggs with sauteed mushrooms, pastries,...

"Amazing views and nice to have a pool, owners are very friendly. The downsides are you will need a car as it’s up steep hills also air con did not work at all and neither did the WiFi properly."

"Street parking was better than covered parking offered. Mattress and bedding needed replacing with new. Room and bathroom were clean. No one was at the property to greet us. However, they communicated by email promptly. Fabiola, our host, was delightful. Her breakfast was wonderful."
