Nice hotel close to the beach

I went as a solo traveller in october and I had a great time there. The animations team are amazing guys, very friendly, fun and for sure they make u feel busy all day and night. The spa team are amazing too, the manager gave me a good deal to relax and it was. Definitely recommend if u are looking for a relaxing holiday close to the beach and a bit of fun.

Nice hotel on the beach

Very nice hotel on the beach,friendly people and close to the party area in malia.that was the second time we choose this hotel and we are very happy.we had exclusive rooms with pool and beach wiew and very clean.food was great,a lot of various local specialties.a nice vacation for old and young people,We definitely go back next year

Modernes Hotel mit Verbesserungsbedarf beim Bad

Sehr schöne Hotelanlage. Modern eingerichtet, auch die Zimmer sehr schön. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Allerdings gibt es einige Mängel beim Bad. Es war mehrere Male nicht ausreichend Klopapier vorhanden. Der größte Aspekt ist allerdings die Dusche. Denn diese ist sehr, sehr klein. Man kann sich darin als schlanke Person nicht duschen, ohne ständig mit dem Rücken am Duschvorhang zu kleben. Die Dichtung des Duschkopfes löste sich von Tag zu Tag mehr und spritzte in alle Richtung ins Bad. Dadurch wurde das Bad regelrecht geflutet und der Bereich ringsrum um die Dusche stand zu ca. 2 cm unter Wasser. Da sich die Toilette direkt vor der Dusche befindet, stand man beim Toilettengang ebenfalls mit den Füßen im Wasser. So viel konnte der Duschvorleger gar nicht aufsaugen. Das war ziemlich ärgerlich. Der restliche Teil des Zimmers war sehr schön, eine schöne Ambientebeleuchtung an der Decke war vorhanden. Die Türen sind allerdings nicht recht schalldicht, da man jedes Wort aus dem Gang in der Nacht hörte, auch verstehte und davon wach wurde. Die Betten unseres Doppelzimmers waren zwei einzelne Betten, die nur zusammengeschoben waren. Diese waren allerdings leider sehr leicht, sodass sie auseinander gerutscht sind sobald man etwas in der Mitte auf dem Spalt gelegen ist. Die Liegen am Strand waren zur anfänglichen Urlaubszeit (31.05. - 06.06.) ausreichend, man bekam auch vormittags noch 2 freie Liegen. Das Wasser mit Selbstbedienung an der Bar war leider zu warm.

Lovely hotel, don't go at the end of the season

If you have one of the newly furnished rooms as I did it was lovely. The staff were at times a little uninterested, and as we went at the end of the season the advertised amenities were not available to us. This caused a very boring holiday in the evenings, with no entertainment, music or atmosphere. This wasn't helped by the hotels location, which was a very expensive cab ride to any neighbouring towns.

Bel hotel central pour visiter la Crète

Hotel familial situé à distance de marche de Malia, petite ville intéressante, avec toutes les commodités. L'hotel est moderne, le buffet offre beaucoup de choix. La plage est belle mais l'accès à l'eau est quelque peu difficile à cause des rochers submergés qui s'y trouvent. Animation sur place. Combinaison de 2 lits simples au lieu d'un vrai lit double quelque peu inconfortable mais sinon, la chambre était moderne, propre et spacieuse. Superbe vue sur la mer. Personnel accueillant et aidant. Services de location de vélo, scooter et auto sur place.

Dejligt ophold, rigtig god service og høj hygiejne. Hotellet ligger 3 km. uden for byen hvor butikker og aktiviteter er er lukket uden for hovedsæson (uge 42)

Goed hotel direct aan het strand

Goed hotel direct aan het strand. lekker en gevarieerd eten. Goede service vriendelijk personeel. Mooie ruime kamers. sanitair is op de kamers goed, bij het strand en zwembad is het sanitair een stuk minder goed. Kamer 678 waar wij verbleven was redelijk gehorig, de tv zit aan de wand met de andere kamer muur is een klankbord.

Ruhige Lage direkt am Strand, aber abgelegen

Für Freunde des All-inclusive-Urlaubs bestimmt ein schönes Plätzchen, uns wurde im Laufe unseres 8-tägigen Aufenthalts das Essen doch etwas eintönig, auch wenn man merkt, dass die Küche sich sehr viel Mühe gibt. Dass die Tischtennis-Platte quasi unter unserem Fenster stand und sich jede Nacht Gäste fanden, die auch um 3 oder 4 Uhr nachts gespielt haben, war einfach Pech...

Terrible experience, left after a day

We booked a "family" room for four and we were given a small room with two single beds and a bank bed. The lifts were smelly and had to use the stairs (3 floor). The air condition was not working properly and it was cool enough only after a few hours of having it on. There was no soap and I was provided with a bottle of soap to change it myself. We had to ask for extra towels. When we went to the reception to complain about the room that afternoon, we were told that we have to wait till the morning to speak to the manager. We checked out the next day and stayed with some relatives.

Hotel with good beach and location to visit crete

In terms of price/quality for an All Inclusive Hotel such as Carolina Mare, I would classify it as good to very good. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the quality and variety of food is outstanding. I had a great time there and it was perfectly to visit most of Crete. If you enjoy partying and night life you are within walking distance from Malia.

Ruhige Lage...Essen minus

Soweit sauber, Zimmer im haupthaus: Badezimmer eine Nasszelle da duschvorhang zu kurz war, das Doppelbett waren 2 Einzelbetten, nur eine Steckdose im zimmer, nur eine Zimmerkarte erhalten. Essen: geschmacklos..salate ok!Animation und barkeeper sehr freundlich und auch keine aufdringlichen Animateure. Personal beim essen sehr unmotiviert (gingen an vollen beschmutzen Tischen vorbei). In die Stadt braucht man ca 30min zu Fuß..dort konnte man auch in den Tavernen gut essen. Unbedingt sollte man sich ein Auto ausleihen um die Insel zu erkunden. Auto kann man sich im hotel leihen. Auch erhältlich strandtücher.

Hôtel vraiment sympa. Personnel très sympathique! La plage de l'hôtel est très propre! Les piscines sont propres aussi. Le cadre est superbe! Le seul reproche que je puisse faire concerne la nourriture, que je n'ai pas apprécié, pour ma part.

relaxing holiday

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Carolina Mare . The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the location as we enjoyed walking into Malia either along the beach or the road. The food was a very good standard with plenty of choice . The beach and pool area's were very clean . The animation team were really friendly and fun to be with. I would highly recommend this hotel for its great value and for an enjoyable stay. We will be back again in the future.

Hotel rénové récemment, dommage que toutes les salles de bain ne l'aient pas été ! Hotel calme en journée, un plus, mais chambres très mal insonorisées : dommage pour la nuit ! Bien positionné pour visite pour visiter la moitié Est de l'île.

Excellent hôtel ! Je le recommande !!!

Très très bon hôtel! Sa structure est peut être cubique mais comme toute l'architecture en Crète. La nourriture y est excellente et très variée tout les jours, ne pas hésitez à goûter au plat proposé, vos papilles peuvent être surprise!!! La situation excentrée pour nous, nous convenait très bien! Rue calme, avec de belles promenades, mais il est vrai que pour rejoindre le centre ville, il vaut mieux avoir de bonnes jambes. L'hôtel comme la chambre, toujours très propre, le personnel d'une extrême gentillesse même si il ne parle pas tous le français et très serviable. Enfin, je ne pourrai dire que du bien de cette hôtel pour y avoir passé 10 jours et j'y serai bien resté 10 de plus ...

Hôtel propre et fraîchement rénové, séjour respectent nos attentes et personnels très accueillant et à l'écoute, je n'hésiterai pas à remettre un pied dans cet hotel et en Crète!

Clean, Modern and A overall Great Hotel

Booked Hotel for me & Boyfriend (ages 28-30) for a 4 night trip. We paid a bit extra for a room with Sharing Pool, we arrived and we were put in a balcony room. We went to reception straight away and was told they would move us the next morning, which they did. However, we paid extra and wanted some compensation for the mix up. The lady on reception was quite frankly very rude and told us to take it up with Expedia not the hotels problem. The day before we left we asked the same women if we can have a later check out (our flight was 11pm) and she again become very rude, I said it a small request to compensate for the mix up. However the actual "guest manager" who was on the phone came into the conversation and allowed us to keep the room right up until we left. Apart from that everything was great! The food was great its a shame they stop drinks at 11pm and The hotel being quite away from the main Malia and taxi's can be abit pricey would have been nice to enjoy the night in the hotel abit later. We were 10 mins late for a dinner and they wasn't going to allow us to pick up something (they did in the end) and we sat and watched as they took away near full trays of food. Quite a waste. The hotel was very clean and modern the pools wear awesome and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would defiantly go back.

Hôtel très correct

Dans l'ensemble, un séjour agréable ! Équipe d'animation impliquée, la masseuse également, et le barman au top ! Toute le monde parle anglais (ou presque), les repas sont variés mais ne sont pas top ( à déconseiller aux végétariens et au sans porc).

Nice Hotel on the beach and renovated but BAD FOOD

The hotel is not far from Malia. The entrance is beautiful , the receptionist curtois but he doesnt bother to explain anything. Everything is so clean and look new. We have a room just in front of the see with private swimming pool. Perfect position! The - : room is small for 3 people. Only 2 beds and one additional small one ( not so comfortable when you pay for it like for the 2 others). The room is perfectelly clean and the bathroom is BIG and practical (all new). The swimming pool is nice ( cold but guess it a normal for April ). The beach is great and clean. There is plenty of space for everyone. The main swimming pool is cold but clean and big. There are swimming pools all around the hotel. Everywhere ! The SPA is outside and is ok. The beach bar is protected from the sun and the wind. The FOOD : please fix it !!!! It a not ok really !! The vegetables for the salads are fresh and good but all the meals are without flavor and like the Bad school restaurant. If someone responsible read this review : your food is a big negative point for your hotel !! I will not come back only because of the food in a restaurant. Come on the orange juice on the morning are so cheap that no one took it! Guys put the real orange juices in the morning for the price we pay!!!!!! Put some nice dishes too!! If it s all inclusive it doesn't mean that we will accept to eat cheap and not tasty food. If I want a decent orange juice in your hotel I have to pay 3€. Come on!
