Good clean hotel with freindly staff

Just stayed one night the room was very clean but quite basic and the bed was very comfortable . Beer was good and the food was fairly basic with a limited choice which was good in quality Staff very welcoming and friendly Location is close to the rever and it has a lovely beer garden Good stop over

Sehr schönes und ruhige Hotel am Stadtrand von Magdeburg. Für Radreisende ideal, da am Elberadweg gelegen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.

The Hotel Staff is very friendly. The Breakfast is great. The restaurant serves great food. I would gladly stay at the ElbRivera again. There is nothing bad about it. It's a traditional hotel where guests are treated well by the very friendly staff.

Leider gab es Mängel im Bad. Die Mischbatterie im Bad ließ sich nicht auf Wasser aus dem Duschkopf umstellen, so dass es nicht möglich war, zu duschen. Obwohl ich Elektrotechniker bin, konnte ich den Fernseher nicht einschalten. Wir mussten gleich beim Einchecken das Zimmer bezahlen, beim Auschecken war die Rezeption unbesetzt, so dass wir die Mängel nicht reklamieren konnten. Außerdem hätte es das Problem nicht gelöst, wir hätten nicht warten können, bis ein Monteur die Mischbatterie repariert. Wir hatten noch ein Ladekabel vergessen, das hat man uns nachgesandt. Es wurden aber Porto Aufwandsentschädigung berechnet, was wir besonders in Anbetracht des Zustandes des Bades als dreist empfinden. Wir werden nie wieder dort übernachten und fordern eine nachträgliche Gutschrift in Höhe von 20,- für die Tatsache, dass wir nicht duschen konnten sondern baden mussten.

Ich war nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise dort. Der Portier war nett und zuvorkommend. Allerdings ist das ganze Haus sehr altbacken, nicht sauber und es stinkt im Zimmer und auch auf den Fluren. Das Badezimmer sah aus als sei es gar nicht oder nur sehr oberflächlich geputzt worden (Haare in der Badewanne, Zahnpasta-Reste im Waschbecken und im Zahnbecher) und ich glaube, dass das Bett nicht frisch bezogen wurde. Das Zimmer hat wirklich penetrant gestunken, es wurde vielleicht so ein Pinien-Raumduft oder so etwas versprüht. Der Geruch hat sich auch bis zum nächsten Tag nicht wirklich verflüchtigt. Ansonsten wird sich was die Ausstattung angeht einfach keine Mühe gegeben, das sieht man auch an Kleinigkeiten. ZB die Papieruntersetzer für den Zahnbecher waren schon x mal benutzt worden oder das Papier-„Bitte nicht stören“-Schild für die Tür war schon total zerfleddert. Ich wäre am liebsten wieder umgedreht und hätte nicht dort geschlafen. Das Frühstück war ganz okay aber auch nichts besonderes, das Personal war nett. Allgemein macht das Haus einen eher runtergekommenen und dreckigen Eindruck auf mich.
