"My 6 year old son and I LOVE the Exeter Inn! It's his favorite place to go, period. The location can't be beat, just a quick 10 minute walk down the road to the heart of the historic district. We love the classic charm of the inn and the neighborhood. The beds are cozy, bathrooms updated, and hallways fun to walk. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice place to stay on the Seacoast."

"The next time I am in the Kittery Maine area I would consider staying at this location again. The first thing I would do would be to locate a good breakfast restaurant. With the cost of the hotel rooms the free breakfast was very, very disappointing."

"I believe three people called out sick, so our experience at the rooftop restaurant Envio was absolutely terrible. We waited half hour in line just to check in for our reservation. We didn’t get our drinks and appetizers until an hour after ordering. It wasn’t the fault of the staff that was present, but the restaurant should not have been open because they were unable to accommodate guests. We did not remain to order a main course. The rest of our stay at the hotel was fantastic, however."

"So, we were very impressed by the overall experience, with two caveats. Before I get to those, I want to complement management for good rooms at a fair price (lower than the nearby competition). Each room has a full kitchenette, nice bedding and good shower. If you have an electric car, beware that their chargers only work for Teslas. This matters because we needed a charge, and appreciated the offer of a free charge with the exorbitant $45 overnight valet parking fee. We were grateful that they reversed our fee when we explained that we were misled by the staff on the phone. Second, they are pet friendly. However, the ad on Hotels.com didn’t clearly state the pet fee, which is a whopping $75. It was explained that this is a “cleaning” fee. However, our dog is hypoallergenic and made zero mess. I’d like management to consider only adding the charge if indeed a pet makes a mess. It seems like a rip-off."
