"What a fantastic way to start experiencing Wadi Rum. Communication from the property before the trip was easy. There is a vehicle that takes you from the parking area to the actual hotel -- this is also where you can reserve a desert excursion. (Note: cash only and there are no ATMs around.) "Stayed three nights in February. Please note that the camp is about 15 minutes drive from Wadi Rum Village and is not in the village as shown by the map. Apparently most of the camps in Wadi Rum do this is to stop guests trying to drive themselves to the real site and getting stuck in the sand! "The property was very spacious, with air conditioning in every room and the living area — perfect for the warm Petra weather. The host, Ali, was incredibly kind, generous, and always quick to respond via WhatsApp. The location is great — the market is within walking distance, and Petra’s main entrance is just 5 minutes away. "It was our first time in Wadi Rum and we were a bit nervous about going into the middle of the desert with a stranger. However, Atallah immediately put us at ease and we had some tea and spoke with him. Then we took a jeep into the middle of the desert. I have never been surrounded by such silence, such stillness, and such beauty. It was really magical and I definitely recommend this experience to anyone."
