Excellent location in the center of the old town. Minutes walk to all sights. Like most hotels in the old town, this one only has a few rooms, so one should expect more of a B&B experience instead of any fancy hotel facility. Breakfast is by voucher, to a nearby pastry shop (for one coffee and one pastry).

A lovely stay in the heart of Lucca! We really enjoyed our stay at Lucca Charm. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Lucca and within easy walking distance of the main sights, restaurants, cafés and shops. It was particularly convenient being able to come and go easily during the day. The property has lots of character and charm, and our family room was cleaned every day and was comfortable, with a double bed and bunk beds for the children. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was very much appreciated, as it was very hot in Lucca during our stay. Check-in was a little less straightforward than expected, as Matteo wasn't able to be there when we arrived. We initially struggled a little with the key, which needs to be positioned correctly in the keyhole before it will turn. We called Matteo and he was very helpful, video-calling us to talk us through it. Once we had got the hang of it, everything was completely smooth sailing for the rest of our stay. Matteo was a friendly and helpful host. We also enjoyed the breakfast arrangement at the café around the corner — a nice way to start the day with good coffee and pastries. You can also choose a sandwich instead of pastries. Being so central does mean there can be some street noise, but for us the fantastic location more than made up for this. Overall, a charming, comfortable and very well-located place to stay, and excellent value for a family. We would happily stay here again in the future.

The property is not a hotel, it's a B7B with no reception. This was a surprise to us and to another guests visiting. So clearer communication on this might be helpful. Luckily we were let in by another guest and that guest also called the owner who remotely guided us into our room. But if not for them, we would be royally stuck outside with two kids in toe. Proper check in communication beforehand would help if self checkin is expected. After that it was all smooth. The owner was very responsive and helped us with any issues we encountered - like heater needing to be turned on. The property location is amazing and we loved our room. The private bathrooms in some cases were outside the room btw - thankfully ours was not. But I believe this also needs to be communicated clearly, cause we saw the other guests be surprised by this fact.

The air conditioning system was poor. The place itself was central, in a perfect spot for getting around by foot. We did not like the idea that we needed to go out and get our own breakfast each day. Plus a typical breakfast has fruit, juice and pastry or savoury of some kind.

I realize that the Old look is in especially in Italy but the entrance could use a fresh coat of peint and they could use art in the bedroom after all its the art and accessories that make the room.

Bra läge i centrum. Bra tillgång till frukost. Dålig kommunikation med ägaren, fick information om att betala skatt kl 23:54 innan avfärd kommande morgon utan att ange summa. Toaletten hörde till bokningen, men var belägen i korridoren. Vet inte om det riktigt framgick i beskrivningen till vårt rum.

Mer hostel enn hotell. Veldig rent. Ikke handicapvenlig, pga flere tunge steintrappen (2. etasje), og vi er usikre på brannsikkerheten. Minus at vi møtte verten bare når vi kom, men han var svært hyggelig, og ellers traff vi bare på hun som vasker. Veldig lite hotell (hostel) med 5 rom. Virket som om stedet i utgangspunktet er en ombygd leilighet eller et kontorfellesskap. Frokost på kafé ved siden, svært enkelt, kaffe og en bakst.

Luogo incantevole non solo perchè situato nel centro di Lucca ma perché curato, pulito, personale gentile, coccole per il cliente. Unica pecca la colazione. Non viene fatta presso il B&B per una questione di spazi e ci si deve recare presso una caffetteria davvero a due passi. Il negativo è il locale scelto per qualità dei prodotti (non freschi), la scelta ed il personale. Peccato davvero ma il pernottamento pressp il B&B merita davvero

Buono ma da rivedere scarichi bagno

Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Centralissimo. Arredamento nuovo e caratteristico. I nuovi gestori hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro e stanno continuando a perfezionare i dettagli. Purtroppo nella nostra camera c'è ancora da sistemare il cattivo odore proveniente dal bagno quasi insopportabile.

Due to a mishap in our scheduled Lucca Charm room prior to our arrival, we actually ended up staying in a nearby apartment owned by the same people - Al Cardinale - so this review describes the apartment and not our originally scheduled Lucca Charm room. Paolo met us and was very helpful in setting us up in the apartment. The location was great and we had everything we needed. Like many places, we needed to go up many steps to the apartment, but it was fine.
