Kid Friendly Hotels in Luang Prabang

"This Sofitel location is probably one of the best I’ve been to. It’s a boutique hotel but has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. All the staff from front desk, drivers, restaurant, room attendant, including the general manager were very helpful. They made sure that we had a wonderful stay. The front desk assisted us with tours and getting in and around town. They even assisted in booking us train tickets to our next destination. The resto staff were always friendly and the food selection was great. We also tried the spa which is a must. They provide a free 5min massage daily in the morning. The staff went above and beyond most 5 star hotels I’ve been to. I can truly say that I will be coming back and would highly recommend to everyone. "

"Central location, friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast to start you off for the day. Excellence aircon in room, spotless clean. Giving of alms is right outside the hotel. Offered laundry service and transfers at reasonable cost. Only gripes, room quite dark and no tv. "

"Oh this place provides amazing customer service. Spacious and clean room. Delicious breakfast especially their Chicken Fried rice! Location was close to everything - the Mekong river, the famous temples, the alms ceremony and night market / shops. I would also like to give a huge shout out to our check-in staff Ken, he went above and beyond to make our stay the most amazing one. He accommodated to split our bed for two people. He was our barista who made our Margarita drink, and our welcome lemongrass drink He served us food in the buffet breakfast. And lastly, he drove us back to the airport. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to visit Luang Prabang. A+++"

"The most beautiful sunset spot "

"During a 3 month tour of South East Asia we stayed at Satri House for 6 nights - easily the best hotel experience of our trip, hands down. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate, the rooms full of charm, comfort and all the amenities you’d expect. However what takes Satri House to the next level is the people-every person we met, from the gardener, front desk staff, restaurant staff, spa staff to the hotel manager - the in person experience was exceptional-every person was professional but simultaneously present, thoughtful and kind. Certainly a tribute to the owners, management and the Laotian culture-we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to return!!"

"Staff was excellent and was trying to do their best even though the whole hotel is worn out and clearly no money going into renovations. Toilet didn't flush, cable didn't work on arrival, board walk was old and boards loose. Lighting in bathroom was dark. Led light from air conditioner panel shines right in your face at night. Limited food service to room. No food panda service. Poor staff seemed to be sad about the lack of funding and up keep. This hotel is just being used by large Chinese tour groups that sleep only here and use Chinese facilities elsewhere to eat and do events. Clearly management doesn't want to invest in the grounds and facilities. The staff was excellent especially Toto. I hope management helps them and invests in them and up keep. "
