Top Lower Blaen y Glyn Hotel Reviews
Hotel Indigo Cardiff by IHG
8/10 Good
"Everything was great. The only thing was the reception, lifts and toilets at the lobby. Such strange combination"
Novotel Cardiff Centre
8/10 Good
"Lovely hotel, modern, great staff and facilities. Breakfast was lovely, everywhere super clean. Decent gym and pool. The rooms were perfectly nice but the bathrooms could do with a bit of modernising (maybe a retile to walls and floors?). Also great little kids area. Would thoroughly recommend (especially compared to the price and standard of a well known hotel in the city centre that some family members were staying at...)"
Cardiff Bute Terrace Hotel By Belvilla
10/10 Excellent
"great location right next to centre"
The Parkgate Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent welcoming hotel with exemplary service. For the moment of check-in staff were helpful I was able to get into my room a little bit early. The room itself had a very comfortable bed and was exceptionally clean. The only area which I would improve is breakfast. This was because the food could’ve been a little hotter because the scrambled eggs have been sitting there for quite a long time they weren’t great. This would not put me off staying again, but I could get breakfast elsewhere. Book a stay here! It ’s fabulous!"
The Angel Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel is in a great central location opposite Cardiff castle with easy access to the train station. On arrival the receptionist was excellent made us feel really welcome and the free room upgrade to a suite was a lovely experience. Hotel foyer looks great and a real wow first impression. We stayed in room 136. The room had all the amenities you could need however the rooms a very tired looking. Lots of sinks and marks in the walls, very old yellow stained sockets and plugs made charging phones a challenge with no usb outlets, thankfully the tv had one to use. Bathroom had all the bits you expected, bath was a bit on the small side and the shower was very powerful which was great however made it a challenge for the water to drain quickly enough so you were ankle deep in water by the end of the shower. The mattress for us personally was a little soft and not that premium feel you get from chain hotels but did the job and we had a pleasant sleep overall. Carpet could have done with a good hoover, crumbs where visible in several areas, paying for early check in you would have assumed these details would have been checked, it did not detract from the stay just some feedback ongoing. Overall we would stay here again as the benefits very much outweigh the negatives."

"Hotel parking is a pain to find unless you know the area! Clean tidy hotel , room was nice and clean plenty of room , superior king mind Toilet was in a stupid position , too close to the shower screen so couldn’t sit properly and had to sit sideways Close to everything you need for a night out Breakfast buffet Was it worth the price …maybe not but you won’t go hungry it’s a standard buffet breakfast loads of options but spoons is walking distance or bills opposite for better quality Parking 18.00 so not too bad and secure Probably on the more expensive side for my liking but for location I see why"
Park Plaza Cardiff
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the spacious rooms. Free bottle of water was a nice gesture. The rooms are nice and quiet - beds and pillows very comfortable. Bathrooms could possibly benefit from some updates - looking a little tired. Breakfast was good value for money - plenty of choice and nice food. Bar area is lovely - great wine list! All the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and super helpful. Highly recommend a stay here"
Clayton Hotel Cardiff

"Super helpful staff member on arrival who helped graciously with our early arrival. Clean facilities and the perfect location for central Cardiff and concert at the castle! Enjoyed our stay, thanks!"
Copthorne Hotel Cardiff-Caerdydd

"Very happy with the stay well worth paying the extra for the breakfast"
