"The staff are very helpful. The location is good, walking distance to town centre, the train station is across the road. The rooms are clean and well maintained."
"Arrived late evening after a long drive from the UK during the heatwave of 30+. We had booked one of their many treehouses which when we arrived was not available as the A/C was faulty, they kindly upgraded us to the twin box treehouse with working A/C which was a god send in the heat. Very quirky design, had everything you’d need. If you have a fear of insects however, be prepared to evict an abundance of spiders, moths, ants and beetles from the treehouse if you don’t like sharing! The only negative for us was the actual structure moves when you walk around so you feel a but like your on a boat. It’s perfectly safe but the design causes this, i guess it adds to the charm? Head space is limited in places also. Lastly it seems hot water is on a timer so bare this in mind if your planning on a mid day or late night shower. - Parking was fine, plenty of available space with additional parking on the main road opposite the hotel if needed, it’s also easy to find.
Staff are very friendly and efficient at both check in and check out.
We didn't use any of the amenities although they seemed fine and again, same with the restaurant, we didn’t eat there but the food looked and smelt amazing!"
"The style of the hotel and general ambiance is more of an Arc Deco style from the theme, all in all fairly well presented. The staff was excellent and super helpful, the daily breakfast buffet was a nice assortment of eggs, potatoes, bacon, assorted cheeses, ham, and if you wanted to get cereal it was available. You could also buy from assorted drinks from the bar for some local brews if that's your flavor. Overall an excellent stay, and easy walking distance to the town square in Mons where a lot of local restaurants are available to eat at. Overall I was pleased with my stay and the price I paid."
"While the Campanile Maubeuge firmly embraces a no-frills, utilitarian approach to hospitality, it excels where it matters most: premier positioning, exceptional comfort, and standout service. For travellers seeking an efficient and highly cost-effective base, it delivers superb value for money.
The property’s absolute crowning achievement is its location. It serves as an unbeatable logistical hub, offering unparalleled convenience that immediately elevates its appeal for both business and leisure itineraries.
The guest rooms are undeniably simple and minimalist in design, yet they masterfully cover the essentials of a high-quality stay. Far from just basic lodging, the rooms feature remarkably comfortable bedding that ensures a restful night's sleep, paired with surprisingly powerful, high-pressure showers, a welcome luxury after a long day of travel.
The true heart of this hotel is its exceptional front-of-house team. The staff are nothing short of magnificent, demonstrating a warmth and patience that is particularly reassuring for non-native French speakers. The reception team consistently goes above and beyond, handling every request with genuine grace and attentiveness.
The morning culinary offering is another highlight. The continental breakfast is superb, presenting a well-curated and fresh selection of everything one would expect from a quality European buffet."
