"Host John was informative about local history and art. Lots of antiques and portraits of local forefathers. Plenty to look at inside the preserved 2221 house if you like woodwork. Snacks & coffees eveywhere. Interacting with owners dogs in downstairs area was a plus! Gourmet breakfast. Great weekday one- night restful stay."

"Exterior and lobby have been nicely updated. Interiors have been about 90% updated. We needed one of their rooms that permitted people to have pets. Beds, furniture, countertops, and bathroom have been updated and were clean. However,floors were sticky and room had a strong mildew smell."
