"Where do I start? The place is perfectly situated. It’s in the middle of beautiful woods, but walking distance to fine chateaux and ambois itself - a gorgeous town complete wit markets and beautiful architecture and restaurants. The chalet is like a luxury tree house! It has a large jacuzzi underneath the main cabin and sun loungers. The bed is super king and super comfy. Air con, lovely tasteful decor with armchairs etc. a bottle of wine awaited us in the fridge in the compact kitchen. Bathroom...

"En tant qu'habituée des tables étoilées, l'expérience au restaurant L'Orangerie fut un choc. Le château n'offrant aucune autre alternative de restauration et faisant confiance à la distinction Michelin, nous avions réservé deux soirs. J'ai immédiatement annulé la seconde nuitée : qui voudrait y dîner deux fois ? Dès notre arrivée, l'absence totale d'accueil a donné le ton d'un chaos permanent, indigne d'un tel standing. Le personnel manque cruellement de prestance (tenues négligées, cheveux mal...

"Staff at check in was incredibly nice and attentive. Room was shown and explanation of access both during daytime hours and after hours (there is a back door to the old town that makes it a snap) was given. Room was cozy, not large, but bathroom was great and amenities were good. Air conditioning worked splendidly. Centrally located right across the street from the Loire River. Our room (#7) had a balcony (shared) with a deck table and chairs. Rooms have a small fridge with “minibar” items....
