"Good kitchen staff but the room’s toilet was smelly. I vomited twice every time i went to the toilet, on the first night itself. The pungent smell was really strong. I called reception at 3 am wanted to change room but no one picked up. The next morning, i had to buy electric scented oil warmer to reduce the pungent smell. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beachside Sunnyvale Motel. Colin and Tomoko were incredible hosts, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness. Tomoko welcomed us so warmly and was extremely accommodating, especially as she helped us at the last minute after our original accommodation fell through. "We were surprised with how close this was from the Interislander baggage claim, got there in about 3mins. This was great news because our ferry was delayed due to the awful weather on the Strait. The owner was there at reception well after 9pm to let us in. The owners were also very helpful, told us where to get supplies from and even let us leave our bag at reception while we went into town. On that note, it's also very close to town too, just a stones throw. "

My first night was unexpected—I needed an ambulance to the local hospital after a fall on the ferry—but the staff at Bay Vista were incredibly attentive throughout the whole ordeal.
