"We arrived late and the staff was kind and helpful. No restaurants were open in the area, but they made us great food even though their own kitchen was technically closed. Truly above and beyond service!"

Loch Leven Hotel & Distillery

"The people were great, the owners were darling. The place could use a decorator - the decor was chaotic. Offerings limited. Overall, enjoyed our stay. We met fun people in the bar and had a really nice evening, but if not for that, it would have been kind of meh. The setting was gorgeous though."

"The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. One of our ground floor rooms was next to the car park which was a little disconcerting, but not noisy, so that was a relief. Another ground floor room looked onto an alley, but was clean and comfortable. Overall we would probably use this hotel again. We enjoyed exploring Fort William and Neptune's Staircase and saw wonderful scenery. We were traveling by train (no car) so were limited as to where we could get to on the bus and by walking. The hotel is a fairly short walk from the train station just outside Fort William town center."

Creag Mhor Lodge

"Staying at Creag Mhor Lodge is like a trip to a 1920's murder mystery novel. I expected Poirot to step into the well-appointed lounge at any minute. Dinner is casual and served in the lounge, which is just so relaxing. The staff is amazing; they even call you by name. Our room was charming and exquisitely comfortable. My spouse and I even enjoyed the twin beds. (Did I mention the 1920's?) Our plans were to hike, hike, hike, but we couldn't resist heading back to the lodge early to sit outside an watch the view of the loch, then curl up with books in the super comfy chairs in our room. My only complaint is that the radiator, against which my bed abutted, turned on at 4:00 am during a heat wave, despite Angela ensuring me she would turn it off. Definitely not a deal breaker, though."
