"The room was clean and updated. The kitchen had an apartment size refrigerator and freezer. The gym was large and had lots of machines and equipment. There are lots of spaces to gather with people inside and outside. The indoor pool was well kept but small."

"Room had a bit of a smell. Like covering smoke or pet odors. Door was very stuck and lock mechanism worked most of the time. Breakfast only had 1 attendant and could not keep up. Very little food was out. Will not stay here again. Not terrible, but not up to par."

"The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The iron did not get hot and the shower did not drain. There was one luggage rack in the room with 2 queens beds. There were 3 of us in the room. Need to address these short comings. The staff was friendly."

There were adventurous and playful touches, including the secret hide-away on the first floor, behind a bookcase. Housing a hotel in a very old house is another terrific choice. The restoration process is clearly in progress; it's understandable that it's a long-term project. Drawbacks were largely fixable. "There was no sign that was lit to find the hard to see at night building and driveway. Small parking lot. Reserved the room on line. When we arrived at 9:40pm. We called to guarantee late check in. Upon arrival discovered there was a family of 5bin our room. The new and helpful gentleman checking us in had difficulty switching rooms on the computer system. He called the owner in India to solve the problem. Discovered that these reservations are all done in India and then there were no clean...

"Great experience. Historic like hotel. Will book again. Clean room and bathroom was renovated. Friendly staff. Helped me to bring my bag up stairs. I had dinner at the restaurant with live music. Delicious food and a taste of American culture through the locals and their music. Lovely evening! The ride from Longwood Gardens to the hotel is gorgeous and takes about half hour."
