"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the room and a private toilet. Nice comfortable big bed with a big heavy duvet and plenty of pillows. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water piping hot. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and our hosts could not have been more welcoming We will return again"

"A really pleasant stay overall. The room was generously sized, clean and well presented, and breakfast was a good spread to set you up for the day. Finding the entrance on arrival was a little tricky, though that's more a familiarity thing than a reflection on the place itself. Would happily return and recommend."
