"The hotel was nice and comfortable and furnishings modern. the bed was extremely comfortable. The outside bar area overlooking the tidal estuary was lovely. We had an evening meal the first night of our stay that was delicious and reasonably priced. The location is great and extremely handy for public transport. The railways station is literally next door and that is how we travelled. Only a couple of things to be aware of, the access stairs to the upstairs rooms are narrow and extremely steep."

"Super hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. "I arrived from London on the motorcycle and had a warm welcome with a lovely comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with a top class shower. Sadly I arrived too late for their delicious menu as the kitchen closes early on Sunday. But I will be back very soon as I have moved near Chester and Bala is only miles away. Highly recommended. "I had a really lovely stay, my room was small but tastefully decorated. There were a few marks on the wall that could do with touching up. The tea tray was good quality as was the breakfast. The best thing about this hotel it the staff who were all fabulous. Be careful of the parking as its only 4 hours on the front so best park at the back if possible."
