"Although I was expecting a feature room with the four poster bed, the allocated room wasn’t bad and big enough for my family. Unfortunately, the welcome and interaction from the manager on duty when we arrived after a wedding nearby wasn’t the greatest. We had checked prior about check in times and were told it was 24 hours, so wasn’t expecting the resistance we got when we arrived. We told the manager on duty we were guests and needed to check in - he seemed rather confused and defensive about...

"There were build works outside by terrace overlooking lake with cement mixer and angle grinder cutting stone most of the day the Saturday I was there . Not the best idea with patrons sitting there by temporary plastic tape eating and drinking . Perhaps a fencing of sorts to obscure the works ?"

Only slight issue was staff were sometimes a little slow getting to us to order cooked breakfast meaning we had to miss out on the one day because we had an impatient toddler. We couldn’t find another hotel to move to so had to stay, I didn’t get into the bed but covered it and the pillows with my own towels. The door wouldn’t lock so we had to wedge a chair underneath the handle. Run down and dilapidated. Bathroom disgraceful and mouldy.
