What an absolute disaster of a stay.
They were clearly short-staffed as it took over 45 minutes to check in all who were waiting. The lady for that process was kind but needed help.
The hotel is old, desperately in need of updates. The furniture was broken. The windows were dirty. There were apparently smoking rooms, and the smoke filled the halls.
They claimed to be a pet friendly hotel, and we brought our retired therapy dog. Paid the pet deposit. Their rules state your dog is not allowed to stay in the room unattended, so I brought him with me to the front desk the following morning to get coffee. When I walked in, I was immediately berates for bringing my dog in their lobby, which is apparently not allowed. Confused with how I was to get coffee or breakfast, they stated it was okay to leave the dog in the room, but only during breakfast hours. Bizarre rule.
Their breakfast consisted of weak coffee, bagels, waffles & mandarin oranges.
The checkout process should have been easy, but they charge you a deposit, and if you're not careful, they will keep it. I have spoken with them 15 times, front desk & corporate. They say they will escalate and issue me a refund. Nothing yet, and it's been 17 days.
The young man frequently at the front desk was curt, rude, & not helpful. He was irritated at my multiple requests for my deposit back.
The only plus was the view of the bay, but even that was not worth it after this nightmare.
