"Charming and character-full hotel with lovely Enid Blyton memorabilia for those of us who have fond memories of growing up with her stories. The location is beautiful, across the road from the ocean and beaches, along with several excellent walks. My room was very comfortable and cosy with nice updates, although part of the charm of the hotel is its age which does show in some of the common areas. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, although a few more healthy options would be appreciated for...

"Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."

"Hotel is in great location but the car park is a public car park. So in busy times you could end up with no space although it’s a large car park. And it’s rough, loose stones and not flat. The staff are lovely, very helpful. We had a lovely sea view room, comfortable bed, nice bedding, not huge and the en suite is quite snug, but lovely and clean and modern. Nice to have cooked to order breakfast, overall a good place to stay."

"Very pleasantly surprised by the well presented hotel, designed to be in keeping with it's original features intact, along with more quirky elements in the decor. The lounge was very comfortable and spacious, and felt like we had stepped back in time to the nineteen twenties. "Stayed for one night in budget single room. Nice white towels in bathroom with heated towel rail. Good breakfast, lots of choice. Would definitely stay there again "

"My second time staying here. Checked in easy enough with the accommodation across the road at the lodge. The room had nice décor although the bathroom looked a little tired. I used the onsite gym facilities which did not have a lot of people in and allowed me to use the work stations and benches when I wanted to. The shower was good, the bed very comfy and breakfast across at the clubhouse restaurant was very good. A lovely place to stay."
