"It was a pleasant and simple place to stay."

"Very disappointed with this place. I accidentally booked the wrong weekend for my stay and several other rooms for my staff. Called the hotel several times and left messages since no one answers the phone. I was hoping considering the amount of rooms the hotel could transfer my date, or even give me a credit towards a future stay. Unfortunately they never called me a back and Expedia can’t help with anything since it was my mistake. Disappointing that I couldn’t even get a call back. $1000+ down...

"The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff."

"We had an excellent stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. We were granted a late checkout simply by asking. Will return!"

"Staff was great! Rooms were clean but showed signs of age. Beds were super comfortable. It is situated right in the middle of town near everything!"

"Our stay at the Fairfield Northampton was great. The room and all common areas were clean. Housekeeping came and made the beds, replenished towels and toiletries with care while we were out. Location was close the downtown with shops and eateries and a 20 minute drive from UMass. The complimentary breakfast and pool was a highlight of our stay. The staff was all super friendly. We look forward to staying again for any our future UMass visits."

"If you have a chance to stay here, don’t. From a dirty room (beer bottle and trash behind the fridge), to very rough sheets and towels, to lack of an ice machine on the property (I was told to go buy ice at the local minimart), to lack of basic amenities in the room (had to ask for tissues, an iron, and hangers- per instructions in the room), and an incredibly loud A/C unit, I didn’t get a moment’s rest. For what they charged, they should be embarrassed."

"Desk clerk, not friendly. Not rude, just not friendly. We were put in the old section of the hotel. It smelled of old house, moldy and mildew. Entrance to wing was NOT locked. We went in at 7PM, door unlocked, out to car at 5AM in morning, door unlocked. I would not stay in that section of the hotel again."

"The staff here were amazing, doing their best to accommodate guests during a very busy weekend. Otherwise, there was missing grout in the bathroom tiles, pilling on the carpet and a bug in the sink."
