Usually the choices on hotels.com don’t let down. Here unfortunately it did. The hotel might’ve been a 4 star experience a decade ago but it’s been let down by non-existent maintenance; general upkeep is poor, service is mostly missing, restaurant/bar is of a 1-star hotel.
The pictures look MUCH better than reality.
We’ve travelled quite a bit and this is honestly not a 4-star hotel. A shame.
The closeness to the beach is very nice only let down by the presence of wooden beams, a remnant of old
Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was given the wrong room and then treated terribly by staff for asking for a replacement room that was like the one I paid for. Staff were then consistently rude to me from this point on. I felt very uncomfortable here. My partner and I also got food poisoning from eating at the hotel restaurant. I complained about this respectfully and was then harassed by this hotel via WhatsApp. Truly an awful travel experience.
Poor service.
Bad breakfast that had been standing out for many hours without replenishing.
My room lacked instructions for how to use phone to call for room service. When I got pad thai room service it was clear that it was from breakfast and the rice was so bad.
Loud since the door was nowhere near "soundproof".
In general the roof was broken probably water damage.
The location has potential but it need to be deeply renovated and service improved.
DO NOT STAY HERE – UNSAFE, UNHYGIENIC, AND TRAUMATIC
Our stay at D'Nusa Resort, Lembongan was horrifying. Unsafe food, dangerous conditions, and neglect put our health and safety at serious risk.
ILLNESS & UNSAFE FOOD
December 28, my partner and I became violently ill after eating at the resort, severe diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, (I lost 14 kg). Food hygiene was shocking: raw meat, stale rice, spoiled milk, and flies at the buffet. Complaints changed nothing, forcing us to stop eating hotel entirely.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY IGNORED
January 3, I needed urgent medical help, staff were dismissive. My partner had to demand action, finding staff playing games after our call was ignored. A doctor later said I was lucky they came, exposing the resort’s blatant neglect.
ELECTRICAL FIRE
An electrical fire broke out in our villa. when informed staff told us to come back latter??? Finally using Electrical tape for repairs, showing incompetence in addressing life-threatening risks.
CONDITIONS WORSENED
After leaving, my partner’s health deteriorated, requiring hospitalization. The professionalism at our next hotel showed D'Nusa’s dangerous failings.
NO REAL COMPENSATION
The resort’s response, a bar credit we couldn’t use and a $30 boat ride to leave the island after we were allowed to cancel the last 2 nights, far from compensation for the trauma and expenses we endured, it was insulting.
WARNING
D'Nusa Resort is unsafe, unprofessional, and unfit for guests. Avoid it at all cost!

Erg krom
Hotel comms through WhatsApp made our journey to and from the island so amazingly helpful and took out any stress. The staff at Adiwana were so helpful, friendly and polite. Gym was airconned and useable - although very small. The pool was a little too warm early in the morning but cooled down later in the day. Breakfast was included we had it only one day, the addition of a few things like yogurt and Bircher would have made it perfect. The French toast that day was very hard - need a recipe reevaluation there. The assortment on the day and egg station was fine including a tasty selection of Indonesian and balanced well with Western style foods.
It’s close to the beach if it’s what you’re looking for. For travelling wise, you need a scooter to get around the island and to Ceningan. More like a 3 star in my opinion. Nightlife is pretty much quiet.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room at first glance was basic but good for the price. At closer look, we found the sheets to be stained and dirty, the curtains and towels also stained. The aircon seemed to give off a musky smell that woke us up in the night as it was so off putting. Shame for such a great location, if you pay more for the villas they seem to be much nicer but the deluxe rooms weren’t so deluxe at all.

Our room was big and lovely, can’t fault it. The pool area was horrible. Didn’t want to sit there
The D’Nusa Beach Club and Resort exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival to Nusa Lembongan, I was met by a member of the hotel staff and transported to the hotel. Check-in was quick and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The room was larger than expected. The bed was comfortable and the TV had many English channels.
The pool and beach area were excellent. Fantastic sunsets from the hotel beach. They even have bean bags chairs and a large swing on the beachfront.
The breakfast was good and included a cook to order egg station. I also had the cheese pizza at the hotel restaurant which was slightly more expensive than restaurants in the area however was worth the convenience.
Checkout was very efficient and a staff member also took me to meet the ferry back to Sanur.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The best part was the staff who were very friendly and welcoming.
The only negatives, very minor, were: weak AC in the room, while the rooms were cleaned daily, they could use some deep cleaning and some paint to cover scuff marks on the walls and the lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach could not be adjusted. So you could not lay flat on theses chairs.
I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
We loved our stay- we extended it for 5 more nights. The shuttle service, clean large rooms, gym, service, beach front were all amazing! It’s the only hotel on the stretch that doesn’t have boats docked in front so easy to swim. The showers were a nice touch by the pool to wash sand and salt off. We only wish they were more eco friendly in terms of use of plastic. We asked if they could fill up our water bottles but they only had plastic bottles. For a big hotel on a small island they should really think about their use of plastics. Breakfast was great- no complaints there! Especially enjoyed the egg station. According to other reviews on the groups of Chinese - we didn’t encounter this but we were also away from the hotel exploring the island during most days. Go grab a sunset drink at the beach bar next to the hotel - Bobs beach bar - Bob is the best!!! Service at the hotel is great! We had an issue with our air con and they fixed it right away. Will come back!

Good for a stopover
Average hotel but good location:
The staff is very nice but the rooms are run down and need to be refreshed! There was no hot water when we arrived but the hotel fixed it quickly. It’s very good for families but the food could be improved
