"Oakhil is a very nice smallish, homely hotel in beautiful grounds and countryside. We stayed in an ex carriage room so a bit dark but comfy. Main schandaliers wouldn't turn on to give more light. Food outweighs any minor complaint, as evening menu was varied and delicious. Breakfast was good but not memorable. If you're looking for a hotel near Matlock etc, try this one. It's good value, comfortable with yummy food."

Everything was spotlessly clean in the room and the communal areas. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Only downside was the road which was a bit challenging but we got used to it!"
