"The front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. We appreciate the welcome champagne, cookies and hot chocolate. We had to check in and out at the High Peaks Resort which is infront of Lake House. It was snowy in January so it was as expected. It was mushy and all but we love the whole set up. The room was basic but clean. We had a view of the lake from the room. There was parking adjacent to our room. We live the fireplace and pool table at the lobby of Lake House. It was a walk to the dogsledding. Everything was perfect! "

"We have stayed at the Devlin for a family gathering now for the past 4 years after the Christmas and New Year holidays, and we always find this motel to be clean, well designed, conveniently located, and very family friendly, in large part due to the excellent staff. They are very accommodating. We will continue our annual holiday family tradition of staying at the Devlin in Lake Placid after the holidays."

"Amazing atmosphere during the Christmas holidays, perfect place to be for NYE. Fantastic view of the lake. Great service, wonderful breakfast buffet - the omelets were fantastic, and I loved the French toast with strawberry jam with whole strawberries that was just the right amount of sweet. The beds and pillows were very comfortable - there was one large and 1 small pillow. The big was way too high for me (it worked for my husband), but the small was perfect. My kids loved the free cookies in the evening from 5 to 6:30. There was complimentary tea and coffee, the only thing was that it was not available after around 10, and also, right when we were leaving, I needed hot water to make myself hot tea in my thermos for the drive back, but the machine was not there. We had a great time at the property, and I would gladly return."
