Top Leilani Estates Hotel Reviews
The Pacifica Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The owners (different than the host) are the best! They made sure that we have everything we need to make our stay comfortable and stress-free as our house in Kaโu was damaged by Hurricane Lala. The Nene Room was beautiful, clean and peaceful with its large picture window overlooking the serene forest. We also stayed in Gecko room that has one bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The Gecko room is comfortable and perfect for family and longer stays. The surrounding is quiet and close to stores, restaurants, and very close proximity to Hawaiโi Volcanoes National Park."

"We stayed in the Garden room and found it to be a little peace of paradise all on its own. The host was absolutely fabulous, he would come over in the morning and get the coffee going, gave us an itinerary of events going on for each day of the week. On Monday he hosted a bonfire bbq, with drinks, food, and entertainment. We felt very welcome here. One of the highlights beyond the awesome hot tub in the jungle was the outdoor shower, now I want one at my house. This will definitely be our Hawaii home for every trip to the big island. I couldnโt have asked for a better place to stay or a better time staying there. Absolutely the best resort Iโve been to."

"Clean, breakfast was a bonus. Make sure you have ear plugs, the frogs and roosters can be loud !"
Volcano Rainforest Retreat
8/10 Good
"Lovely spot to enjoy Volcano National Park. The small town is quite limited, so maybe not ideal for a long stay. The Bamboo Guest house was well suited for our family of four. Our two children slept on the โfloor futonsโ and were very comfortable. The house is not air conditioned, which means the windows must be open when it is warm out, allowing some bugs and moisture in. But, the rain forest vibes are pretty nice. Really enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub. WiFi is very spotty. Host was lovely and the breakfast fruit and breads were nice additions."
Kalani Oceanside Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made."
Fern Forest Getaway
10/10 Excellent
"Great place with reasonable prices"
Open Gate Hostel Hawaii
10/10 Excellent
"Buscaba un sitio tranquilo para descansar y patear la isla y acertรฉ. La general manager muy simpรกtica y el chico que habรญa con ella tambiรฉn. Podrรญa haber estado una semana mรกs"
Ma'ukele Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Staying here was a once in a lifetime experience! We were just steps away from the ocean which was breathtaking to view from lava rock cliffs. Our accommodations really set the vibe for this part of the Big Island. It was very tropical and like living in a rain forest with the greenery and fragrant flowers. The outdoor shower was a refreshing experience ( though an indoor shower is available, this outdoor shower is a must-do). Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, many little thoughtful touches. The accommodations were very clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They are very passionate about living on this part of the island and eager to share their excitement with you. Breakfasts are delicious! Especially all of the fresh fruit. The lodge is a destination in and of itself, not just a place to sleep after seeing other places on the island."
Ala Kai Bed & Breakfast
8/10 Good
"Well-situated to beautiful coastal walking. Friendly, helpful proprietors, quiet and comfortable "
